papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-ravens-carr-option-20180313-story.html Brandon Carr did pretty much what the Ravens had hoped when they signed the veteran to a four-year, $24 million deal last March. He stabilized the team’s long-problematic No. 2 cornerback spot across from Jimmy Smith. He continued his remarkable run of durability and he became a leader in the secondary. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Another poor move, he got beat many times because he didn't know what defense they were in.... Same problem he had in Dallas... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2018 Author Posted March 13, 2018 But with Jimmy probably not ready to go early I think he is needed. Quote
oldno82 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 While I don’t think Carr is the best thing since sliced bread, were not in a position yet to release him. Jimmy might never be the same...a torn Achilles heal may affect his quickness even after it heals. I hope I’m wrong. Quote
tsylvester Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I would love to see Smith moved to safety: bam, tight ends covered, longer career. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted March 13, 2018 Author Posted March 13, 2018 That could be an option. But still doesn't allow for cutting Carr. Quote
