"If you put two quarterbacks on the field at once, what options does it create for our offense? That's what we're trying to figure out."Now that in an interesting turn of events. If he doesn't pan out as a QB at least he is getting some reps at other spots.
tsylvester Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Sure, because the Ravens have a history of developing receivers, said no person ever... Just because he is lining up at other positions does not mean he is playing well at them. We've seen this team try to get cute, only to cost them 15 + yards and resulting in long field goals.. Gimics don't work often in the NFL..
papasmurfbell Posted June 12, 2018 Author Posted June 12, 2018 I don't think he will play well at QB. At least they can get him work in other spots when QB doesn't pan out.
tsylvester Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 It all comes down to him being able to read defenses, foot work is easy to learn, that will help with his accuracy.
papasmurfbell Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 Joe has never gotten the footwork. Some guys can't be fixed with accuracy.
tsylvester Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Joe is accurate down field, if you watch closely, when he throws off of his back foot, contrary to popular opinion. He usually over throws when he steps into the pass. Yes, he sometimes has terrible footwork on out routes that makes him miss, but look closely at every, every quarterback and you will see the same thing.
papasmurfbell Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 No he is not. Not only the eye test says so I have seen analytics that say it.
papasmurfbell Posted June 14, 2018 Author Posted June 14, 2018 Are you talking about the baseball guys using them?
GrubberRaven Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 No, the Cleveland Browns went the analytical approach in drafting and such and had a horrible year...didn't even improve upon the previous year.
papasmurfbell Posted June 16, 2018 Author Posted June 16, 2018 Yeah the baseball analytics guys. They were fired. Since that time the team has been making some smart moves.
GrubberRaven Posted June 18, 2018 Posted June 18, 2018 My point was your analytics proved your theory and here was an instance where analytics did not work
GrubberRaven Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 I have seen analytics that say it. So you didn't say this? Now you're arguing semantics.
