vmax Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 A new dilemma emerges. Let's call it a good problem to have. 2. Flacco should get his job back when healthyBecause Jackson has his limitations as a passer, the Ravens should go back to Joe Flacco once he’s healthy again, if they want to contend for a wildcard berth. This offense isn’t sustainable. It might be OK next week against the Raiders. But the challenge will intensify the next two weeks against Matt Ryan and the Falcons and against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Jackson isn’t ready to get into a shootout with either of those quarterbacks. As Jackson continues to play, he should gain comfort with the concepts of an NFL passing attack and the defensive schemes he will face. And offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg can do a better job of using the play-action to create more downfield opportunities for Baltimore’s offense. But at 5-5, the Ravens still have hope for the playoffs, so it’s not time to turn to Jackson just because he represents the future. Perhaps Flacco has shown signs of decline, but he still gives this offense more of a chance to operate like a pro attack, and for that, he should remain the starter.........https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/ravens/2018/11/18/baltimore-ravens-lamar-jackson-cincinnati-bengals-score/2049495002/ Quote
oldno82 Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 From what I’ve heard, Joe will probably be out next week. We can afford to do that against the Raiders. I’m anxious to see if Lamar can repeat the offensive explosion we saw today. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Flacco should watch the rest of the season from the bench. I also line the 2 QB sets with RG3. Quote
