vmax Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 (edited) Well deserved. He consistently gets the most out of the rosters that he's given. He's a motivating and galvanizing force. High energy and focus man with a great character. I don't consider him a HOF HC yet. Nevertheless, he's heading in that direction. His resume' speaks for itself. He wins. Many don't over the long haul. One more Super Bowl win or more playoff wins should do it....division championships.....you get it. Quote Coach of the Year John Harbaugh, Baltimore Ravens: Harbaugh went from being on the hot seat in the middle of the 2018 season to being saluted as the league's top coach. He led the Ravens to a franchise-record 14 wins and their first No. 1 seed with an outside-the-box offense highlighting quarterback Lamar Jackson and a defense that lost three core Pro Bowl leaders in Terrell Suggs, Eric Weddle and C.J. Mosley. Relying on his aggressiveness -- from going for it on fourth downs on offense to leading the league in blitzes -- Harbaugh took a team that was predicted to finish third in the AFC North and guided it to the best record in the NFL. This is the first Coach of the Year award for Harbaugh, who finished his 12th season. He's the first Ravens coach to receive this honor. - Jamison Hensley....https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28586997/nfl-honors-took-home-league-biggest-awards The Ravens became the first team to capture MVP and Coach of the Year in the same season since the Carolina Panthers in 2015 (Cam Newton and Ron Rivera). "If people aren't laughing at you, you know your dreams aren't big enough," Harbaugh said. "And people were laughing at us a little bit, That was kind of tough to bite your tongue sometimes. But to let Lamar and the guys prove it is the most rewarding part." Let's give Greg Roman some love too... Quote Offensive coordinator Greg Roman received the Assistant Coach of the Year award. papasmurfbell Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Roman definitely deserved that one. Quote
oldno82 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Hard to believe neither Roman nor Martindale got a head coaching gig. Especially Roman. We're lucky to have both still with us. Next season will really be interesting. Like this season was! Quote
