Every NFL rookie faces some kind of on-field coming-of-age rite. They can't make the rituals any more difficult than the one Baltimore rookie quarterback Joe Flacco has faced for the last month.

In his last four games, Flacco has faced three of the league's top five most sack-happy pass rushes. This week, in taking on the Cowboys, he faces No. 1.

With eight sacks of Eli Manning last week, the Cowboys (53 sacks) jumped ahead of Pittsburgh, which got to Flacco twice in the Steelers' 13-9 win. Since Nov. 16, Flacco has faced the Giants (tied for third) and Philadelphia (tied for fifth).

Flacco's response in a thick South Jersey accent: Hey, fuhggedabout it.

Joe will have a good night...they're playing man coverage.

Nobody, anywhere, is picking the Ravens to win.

This is the "Next Level" game for the Harbaugh Ravens. If they go into Dallas, with the playoffs on the line for both teams, with all the Texas stadium closing hoopla,...and find a way to win, then they have arrived as a playoff caliber team.

That's the door these 2008 Ravens are knocking on. To get through tonight they'll have to kick it in.

You hit the nail on the head, VMax. If we win this game, we deserve to be in the playoffs. If we lose, we dont deserve to be in it.
