vmax
Now Carr's out a few weeks... Chris Carr saw a specialist to get another set of eyes to look at his hamstring injury this week. Carr left Sunday’s 35-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first half and did not return. He also struggled with the injury throughout training camp and the preseason. The Ravens started Cary Williams and Lardarius Webb versus Pittsburgh, with Domonique Foxworth seeing action, as well. Foxworth, who tallied one tackle, said his surgically-repaired knee is still healing, but felt well enough to suit up.when the Ravens’ depth is challenged. “Out on the edge, it’s demanding on your body, so I think all of our guys knew that coming into the season, they were going to have to play, at some point, a significant amount,” Foxworth said. “Nobody in our group, I think, thought they were just going to coast through the season.”http://blogs.baltimoreravens.com/2011/09/14/specialist-evaluates-carrs-hamstring/ This is what I call real thin on the corners. Foxworth was not up to speed. Williams and Webb have to hold up...for a few weeks. I don't want to see Foxworth and Brown out there.
OutsideRzAcE
Yea Fox can get by a little on his smarts ( i.e. keeping Wallace in front on him), but no way is he ready to go out there and run with Kenny Brit. I'd rather see Brown out there at this point - at least he's healthy. Other than that, keep up the pressure and hope for the best....oh and let's relieve Webb of his special team responsibilities too (i'm sure they've already thought of that). Like you said, DEFINITELY not Fox. For some reason it seems like Webb has great KO/punt return speed but cant keep up with receivers on deeper routes. With David Reed back in the mix this game Im sure hes taking the returns so Webb can focus on not getting injured. Havent seen enough from Brown to know what he can do against #1s but Id take my chances on a hobbled Fox first.
colincac
That's a big hit. Expect to see more of Zibby and Nakamura in the slot at 'CB' in Dime and Nickel situations with Pollard taking over as the SS. Or just some 3 safety sets with Pollard more in the box. We can cover up the CB depth issue with our depth at safety.
