dc. Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/sch...he_commish.html I actually like this because I think it is establishing a better relationship between the Ravens and the NFL. We don't always have to be hated. And that's not to say that there has ever been any real angst between Goodell or Tagliabue and Bisciotti or Modell... but it is nice to think that perhaps we are building relationships... That said... his comments on the replay in the Pitt game suck. Also, in the next post, his comments about an extended season suck too. I really think 16 games is perfect. Heavy on your division, mix on conference. Quote
vmax Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 You're right dc. Rodger is like a machine and he's thinking ahead....he knows he'll be handing the trophy over to Steve! Better to start good relations right now. Quote
thundercleetz Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I saw that during the game. Goodell was sitting between Bisciotti and Gary Williams (Gary and Steve must be really good friends, he is at all the games!). Hey Roger, if you are in Baltimore for the 50th anniversary of The Greatest Game Ever Played, how about giving Baltimore its history back! Quote
ravinmaniac52 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 I understand that he had a lot of good thing to say about Baltimore, both teams and their fans. At this point he can not say the Refs were wrong! Quote
vmax Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Rodgers pressence is bad news for Suggs....his paycheck will definately be lighter this week for his late hit on Garrard. Really...when I heard he was here for the game I was surprised and then felt...respected. Anybody else feel that Harbaugh has helped change the Ravens "Thug" image? Lot's of nice, complimentary stuff being said about the Ravens lately. Quote
REEDPIXOFF Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 He was probably there rooting for the Jags so his beloved Patriots could make the playoffs  Quote

Lot's of nice, complimentary stuff being said about the Ravens lately. I feel that way totally. I also think Billick was also to blame for the bad karma on the team. I think his ellitist type attitude wasn't well received by the media. Having a QB that is producing highlight reel doesn't hurt I have a feeling that at the end of the year, that head goof of the refs (name is lost) is going to get the pink slip. Too much ticky tack crap this year that he did not handle well. Quote
BMoreHon Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 just heard on WNST that when Goodell came in the Ravens lobbied for a Sunday game given the unfair treatment of the bye week.....interesting. Goodell visited Mackey too. Quote
