oldno82 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Lamar has really slimmed down. He's at 205 now. https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/ravens-nfl/ravens-lamar-jackson-weight-offseason-pounds-PEPSWLBRT5GDFFLNI4WZBPNC7Y/?schk=YES&rchk=YES&utm_source=The+Baltimore+Banner&utm_campaign=97b92ddc50-NL_ALRT_RV_20240510_1145&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-97b92ddc50-[LIST_EMAIL_ID]&mc_cid=97b92ddc50&mc_eid=7135e1e06f. But as you read, the Ravens might want him to add back some weight. Really, what I would like to see is his throwing the deep ball and making completions. Quote
tsylvester Posted May 10 Posted May 10 So long as he got his nutrition figured out so that he avoids tummy aches and exploding diarrhea causing him to miss practices, games... I'm good... Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I look at this like when LeBron lost all that weight the one yr to be more explosive. He lost his power and it didn’t go well. with Lamar at this size the glancing blow from the past can be more effective. Quote
oldno82 Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Well I just feel he'll add some pounds in camp. And as mentioned above, as long as he minds what he eats before games and avoids the mid-game visit to the john, we'll probably be alright. And towards the very end of the season I did notice he had done something to help correct overthrowing deep receivers. Whatever it was he did, I hope it sticks around for this season. I tend to be too hard on Lamar, I think. The guy was MVP twice in 5 years. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Last yr really was an asterisk. Mahones had receivers dropping like mad. He had not changed. And bc of media bias and only qb getting the award hill who deserved it down in Miami didn’t get it. Quote
