papasmurfbell Posted January 5 Posted January 5 If cle had a 50% more competitive offense we are losing this. Our offense is not that complicated. You just need to have the right kind of rushers up front. Get our offense in 2nd and long where Lamar is not that good. Quote

One mistake amd Henry is gone. They knew the Ravens were running, put 10, 10 in the box, Henry got to the outside, made one move and 43 yards later, his 2nd touchdown. This with the offensive line using back up guards most of the night Quote

If they could score a little more and hold the ball a while to keep their d off the field I don’t think they break. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 12 wins even with this defense, yeah, a lot of teams tried that and failed. There is a reason this offense is top what, 3 in scoring and total yards? As I've said before, there is not 1 total dominant team this year. Just like college ball. So get to the dance and take control. The only real question is the health of Flowers Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 5 Posted January 5 But in the losses I see the same characteristics at play. Get us into must pass plays and let Lamar get frustrated. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 5 Author Posted January 5 True, but come on papa, no team is perfect. I admit to doubting throughout the season, especially the defense, which, with Stephens and Harrison/Simpson/Board at backer, still worry me. But 4k +passing yards, 900+ rushing yards, 40+ touchdowns with ONLY 4 picks, never, Never ever been done before in the league and likely will never be done again. Lamar has shown he is in the top rank of qbs. As a team to have 4k passing yards and 1900+ rushing yards, never, ever been done before. This offense has shown that it is dangerous Yes, it means very little if they don't win it all. But you know, to win it all it take a little "luck", staying healthy, getting the ball to bounce the right way. But if this front four can continue to squeeze the pocket as they have done most all season, get timely sacks, it may cover up the issues at one corner and one inside backer. Clearly when this team is focussed and playing loose, they can beat anyone. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I agree no team is perfect. But the teams that have the tools to hamper this offense are here. I don’t like having a qb that is so easily confounded. And a qb like that who has gotten overconfident on the weak concerns me in the playoffs. Again it’s the losing the same way that concerns me. 1 Quote
oldno82 Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I think the only way for Lamar to get papa off his back is to win the AFC Championship round and advance to the Super Bowl. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Yeah make me eat my words. I’ve seen him long enough to not believe he can do it. Quote

tsylvester Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Denver Vs Buffalo is going to be an interesting game. The Bills defense is very suspect because of injuries, Nix can run and when he gets hot, look out. Would be nice if Denver won. Quote
tsylvester Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 They sat Allen after one hand-off to keep his streak of consecutive games played going Quote
