For his post season play, and yes, there is evidence to support them.

8 games, two turnovers in 4 of them, and loses because of them, largely.

However, a Hall of Fame quarterback, one many consider one of the best ever, had a very similar start.

I give you, and no, stop it, don't insult our intelligence by suggesting I am saying Lamar is as good, I am not, just trying to show that early on, yes, some great do struggle. So I give you

John Elway in the post season

Elway played in 22 postseason games with the Broncos, 21 as a starter, and led the team to victory in 14 of them. In those games he threw for 4,964 yards and 27 touchdowns, with 21 interceptions, while also rushing for 461 yards and 6 more scores

So, given how well Lamar played in the 2nd half, i would say give him a break

Lamar has a talent for making incredible plays. Yesterday he had an INT and a fumble. He also had a season that thrilled many, many fans. I think, and he has said this himself, he gets too pumped up for the playoff games or 'antsy' as he called it. But other than those 2 miscues he had a very good day.

Mark Andrews, another regular season hero, became the goat yesterday with his fumble and dropped pass in the endzone. That is also unfair after all the many times he has bailed out the team before.

The Bills played a zero turnover game in a season where I think they were +34 in takeaways vs giveaways. That is an amazing stat!

I gotta be honest though. If you were to ask me which team I would rather watch or be a fan of, I would without hesitation say the Ravens. The Bills were plain dull yesterday.

Just my 2 cents.

so elway was able to get a championship many yrs after his greatness had eroded away.  He was turned into a facilitator by an offensive genius.
that said at least elway made the sb.  He could string at least a couple games of solid play together to get to that game.  So he got killed by 2 great teams in the LT fronted giants and the 80s skins.

honestly Peyton is a better comp.

And sometimes dull wins the big game.  See the 200 ravens.

I chose Elway because he can run. But you get my point, some of the greats struggle in the post season.

To get to the Super Bowl takes many things more than talent, injuries play a roll, the bounce of the ball.

Should we destroy Jim Kelly because no team has gone to 4 straight Super Bowls without winning?

Oh wait, his kicker went wide a couple of times. Kelly didn't play that well a time or two either.

Yet he is a Hall of famer. Same for Marino, it is a team game.

Who said Lamar won’t be a hof player?  He just like Marino or Kelly will be blocked out from ever getting a ring.  And unlike Kelly or Marino he will be regularly pedestrian in the playoffs.  That will be remembered and held against him.  I do expect Daniel’s to win a ring and Lamar never will be.  They will be tied together in history forever like Joe and Ryan are.
