oldno82 Posted Wednesday at 09:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:45 PM Did you happen to notice that Mark Andrews received some death threats after the game? Some people are just crazy! Quote
tsylvester Posted Wednesday at 11:30 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 11:30 PM Yes, sadly, but it was also nice to see so many Bills fans step up and donate to his charity. Mark is a great guy, super player. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Thursday at 12:09 AM Posted Thursday at 12:09 AM From that it sounds like mark and Stanley will be gone. Quote
tsylvester Posted Thursday at 01:54 AM Author Posted Thursday at 01:54 AM Maybe, I kind of got the impression that they want to run it back again one more year before they are truly forced to make major changes Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Thursday at 08:32 AM Posted Thursday at 08:32 AM With Andrews there was no he ain’t leaving. You have 2 guys who already catch very well on the team. Draft a real blocking te. As for Stanley you cannot expect him to do what he did this last yr again. Being able to play all those games. Also rose played great at the end. Now we just need a true mauler rt. Quote
tsylvester Posted Thursday at 12:55 PM Author Posted Thursday at 12:55 PM Yeah, Eric seemed real positive about moving, possibly, Rose to the left side. They seemed to feel real good about free agency and the draft But also settled about the guys on the last year of their contracts as if they will let the contracts play out for now, pending free agency and the draft. papasmurfbell Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM Some yes. Mark sounded like they were open. Oh Stephen’s is gone. Quote
tsylvester Posted Thursday at 02:47 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:47 PM Stephens is an interesting one. Size, speed, he covers tight. If you watch closely, he is beat by perfect throws and incredible catches most of the time. Remember, he was a runningback early in college, then transferred to SMU where they moved him to corner for what 2 seasons? When the Ravens drafted him they did so as a safety, where he played for a year before Wink was fired amd Mac took over. Mac moved him to corner. 2023 was his first season as a starting corner thanks in large part to injuries at the position. So he has onky really had 2 full seasons playing corner. Now he is adapt at playing multiple positions in this defense that likes to run games with who plays corner, safety, dime back on a given play. Yes, he has been burned this year, been a provebial weak link, but his athleticism is hard to walk away from especially given his inexperience Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Thursday at 03:00 PM Posted Thursday at 03:00 PM I don’t think he will learn ball skills. Quote
tsylvester Posted Thursday at 04:18 PM Author Posted Thursday at 04:18 PM Then you can use him at safety or in the Hamilton role, his speed and size . That is the role he was drafted for afterall. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Thursday at 07:01 PM Posted Thursday at 07:01 PM I think they have soured on the ball skills. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Friday at 01:37 AM Posted Friday at 01:37 AM When he said Stephen’s may get interest in fa it screams they let him go. If there about zero interest they could go with maybe a 2 yr 3 mil deal. Put him at safety and Hamilton could be allowed to move closer to the line. I think Oweh is gone. I don’t have faith he can do this again and some sucker team will give him 12 or more. I’ll take that comp pick. Quote
tsylvester Posted Friday at 04:09 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:09 PM They should have about $17 mil in cap space, enough to keep most of the team together, before restructure or salary cuts. Curious to see what they do with Humph, first season he made it through injury free, and played like his young self. But he carries a $25 mil cap hit. Quote
oldno82 Posted Friday at 09:00 PM Posted Friday at 09:00 PM I hope they offer Humphrey a contract. He was great this year and a real team leader on the secondary. Pay him. Quote
tsylvester Posted Friday at 10:11 PM Author Posted Friday at 10:11 PM He is under contract for year, turning 29 by season's start. Give him 3 years, cut the 25 mil in half as a signing bonus. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted Friday at 11:57 PM Posted Friday at 11:57 PM I don’t want to lock him 8n past this yr. Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 05:27 PM Author Posted Saturday at 05:27 PM Why? Great teammate, solid player, who can play multiple positions, maybe even a hybrid safety. Why reduce the depth at the secondary position? Quote
oldno82 Posted Saturday at 10:27 PM Posted Saturday at 10:27 PM Keep him and pay him. He's a leader who improves the play of those around him. Quote
