tsylvester Posted April 28 Posted April 28 My favorite time of year, sort of..... The Ravens always find a dimond or two- to fill out the roster. They have signed a few guys I watched play over the past fee seasons in college and think will make a big impact. I will high light them Auburn DL Jayson Jones 6'-6" 355 Rutgers DB Desmond Igbinoson Memphis LB Chandler Martin Nebraska WR Jahmal Banks Western Kentucky WR Kisean Johnson Iowa LB Jay Higgins Monmouth RB Sone Ntoh Oregon State OL Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan Albany OL Ozzie Hutchinson Temple DE Diwun Black Minnesota-Duluth TE Sam Pitz Illinois State DB Keondre Jackson South Carolina CB Marquise Robinson Minnesota RB Marcus Major Jr. Arizona State WR Xavier Guillory Miami (OH) OT Reid Holskey Nebraska DL Nash Hutmacher Northern Iowa OL Jared Penning Quote
oldno82 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Of all the guys on your list, the one I'd really like to see make the cut is Jones. A 6-6 355 defensive tackle is just what the doctor ordered. I hope he's talented enough to stick. Quote

It is understandable to a point, he had always been able to just use his size to get by, now he needs strength, & coaching. He made it to the NFL, now does he want to stay? Cody never understood that in this league, it doesn't matter how big you are, outside, it is how big you are on the inside. Quote

Well, I guess that's why he wound up as a UDFA---perhaps not motivated enough. Time will tell. Quote
tsylvester Posted April 29 Author Posted April 29 There have been a number of big men like Pierce, Madds, remember Jelly? All had the same need, a "kick in the pants" and look how they embraced it. So it is possible he will as well and how great he can be... Quote
oldno82 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 We'll hope for the best but see how he performs in camp. Quote
tsylvester Posted April 29 Author Posted April 29 Nice article on Nash Hutmacher https://www.sdpb.org/sports-rec/2025-04-27/baltimore-ravens-to-sign-nash-hutmacher-as-undrafted-free-agent Quote
oldno82 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Funny: Gerry Sanduskey on the Sports tonight talked about the irrelevance of rookie camp as to future success...said the the rookie who looked the worst in rookie camp to him of all time was Lamar Jackson---the best was Sergio Kindle. Quote
tsylvester Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 It is not good for evaluating, but it can really open their eyes, help them see how they need help. Quote
oldno82 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Yeah I think it's mostly for orientation purposes rather than anything else. Quote
