Another year, another contract extension for wide receiver Rashod Bateman.

The Ravens announced that Bateman has signed an extension with the team on Thursday morning. The team did not announce any terms of the deal, but multiple reports say it is a three-year, $36.75 million deal with $20 million in guaranteed money.

Bateman signed an extension with the Ravens through the 2026 season last year, so he’s now tied to the team through the 2029 campaign.

Really glad to hear this. Locking him up while he's entering his peak years is the smart move. He's been a good team player too.

Yes, people don't realize how hard it is to come back from a  lisfranc injury, especially for a wide out.

Last year we got a glimpse of what a truly healthy Bateman can do, cutting, quickness, jittery, speed.

With him and a healthy Flowers, both now fully acclimated to the NFL and Lamar now in full control of the offense and confident in his passing and pass catchers, this offense may just be better than last year's.

Just tacking onto an already super cheap deal is a very friendly deal for us.  By 2027 his new deal will be way under market.

Yes, very crafty cap move. He gets a big pay day, enough, especially if invested correctly, sets up he and his family for a generation, the cap hit is easy.

It is a reasonable deal. Team friendly and a nice bonus for Bate. A win-win.

I disagree.  I think bate got robbed but I don’t mind.

Not sure he got robbed, he chose to stay with a winning franchise for good money rather than risk getting less from a bad team

It’s good money now.  In 2 yrs it will be bad money.

Chief reporters are already saying this contract will muddy the waters for them trying work out a new deal with Hollywood. Lots of luck to them with him

Bate will be 30 at the end of this deal.  Sure he can get another contract but will he be ascending or diminishing at that time.  Stats say deminishing.

True, but how much more could he maybe have gotten in 2 years when he is what, 27, 28? 

He is not a number 1, a solid number 2 in the right system but he is not a Higgins

Higgins is a top 8 to 15 wr.  He is most teams #1.  In 2 yrs a #2 wr could be pulling 15 per.
