Colts vs Ravens preseason

No starters unless they are rookies & or need the work to prove that they belong.

No starters against their #1's for at least a quarter. Just hoping for no injuries and that our reserves can hang with their regulars long enough to at least keep it interesting.

Ravens opening drive, fade route to Wade, Wade loses sight of the ball, gets picked.

Ravens defense gives up 1 first down, then continually collapses the pocket, forcing a field goal.

2nd Ravens drive results in a Mitchell 20+ yard touchdown run. He does look back to his speed, making nice cuts outside and exploding down field. 2 20+ yard runs on that drive

Ojabo with an unblocked huge sack crushing Richardson who took himself out.

3 & out for the Ravens defense

Wester takes the punt, runs into two of his own guys, reverses field, runs into two more, cuts, weaves, gets outside for a real nice return of about 20 yards

Screen play for the offense is sniffed out, Ali with a carry for an loss of 2, 3rd and 12

No time for Rush, Noteboom and Faalele blow blocks, the big fella was runover, Noteboom run around

Jones in Richardson out hurt shoulder

After a completion to Warren for 12, Jones should have been picked off by Kone, who just couldn't bring it in

Run once again goes nowhere

Pocket collapses, Isaac and Green get credit for making a Jones Sandwich

Wester dances, bobs, weaves goes 87 yards for a Touchdown Ravens!

Warren covered poorly by Buchanan, gain of 12

Wr screen is dropped

Quick out get 8 on 2nd and 10

Run on 3rd down gets 3

Buchanan drops into coverage, but doesn't get proper depth leaving a wrecking wide open to the Ravens 15

Quick out is dropped, Kane in tight coverage

Jones tries a double move , Tampa all over it throws it away, was not open

Fade route to the endzone, Kone goes down in a heap holding his knee, does not look good, pass is incomplete

Mitchell from the 5 to the 25, 1 second left in the quarter

Leary in, Mitchell bounces outside for 9, end of quarter

6 carries, 62 yards so far for Mitchell 

Mitchell spins out of a tackle, gets 5

Leary tries to hit Wade down field, db all over Wade, bats it away but pi on Indi

Ali avoids a tackle in the backfield, get 7

Wade is either telegraphic his routes or just not selling them enough, tight coverage

Mitchell for 2, 3rd and 1

Ali up the middle, stuffed, no gain

Ravens going for it

Qb sneak gets it

Ali again off the left side, gain 1

Leary down the left side, Walker makes a great catch on  aback should throw, feet out of bounds though. Pi gets the 1st at the Indi 10

Mitchell tries to jump away on a run, no gain

Leary looking to hit Walker in the back of the endzone, ball way too high, he was open

3rd and 10

Leary under pressure, moves up in the pocket tries to hit a receiver short and over the middle, late, picked off

JaD had a great 1st half in coverage, very sticky, recognizing routes with ease, breaking up passes.

Buchanan looks like a Hareison clone, good tackler around the los, but terrible in coverage.

Wade continues to get 0 separation on his routes, Leary is clearly a better ps qb than backup qb.

Mitchell, as we said, looks fantastic

Ali not much on the ground offensively, but the big kickoff return after a Cots field goal is huge

Ali finished strong, good cut outside left for 21 to the Colts 3, then a nice jump cuts outside right to put the ball in the endzone

Touchdown Ravens, 21-9

Appreciate the commentary...my cable went out in the 1st quarter and didn't come back until 2:54 left in the game.

 

From what I saw, Mitchell looks stronger and just as fast and quick as before. Rush was under duress too much. D looks solid.

Maybe we can trade Ali.  4 in the rb room is a lot.

Ali looks great for short yardage, goal line. I think if he continues, with his added kickoff duties, they may keep 4 for injury insurance.

That first defensive line was caving the pocket in consistently in the first half, that was very nice to see.

Both safeties, Brade and Kane, looked solid and the corners, looked pretty solid too, save for the broken leg.

All in all, Fruity had a good day with extra points, came back strong after the 46 yard miss with a confident 53 yarder.

How did Green look? Was he getting pressure on their QB?

Green did well for his 1st action, should have credit for a sack with Isaac, they met at Jones. Held the edge pretty well, got some other pressures too
