papasmurfbell Posted Sunday at 09:32 PM Posted Sunday at 09:32 PM It’s both. You have to have good position coaches if you draft projects. I don’t seethem. A team is a reflection of its coach. We are a paper tiger just like him. All talk no bite. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 10:05 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:05 PM Warhop took over by default because of a dewth to D'Alessandris mid stream. He claimed then that he would keep things the same short term, then implement his styles as he became familiar with the offensive system and players. Well, clearly the line has gotten worse since then. 1900 + yards rushing last year, top 3 offense. This year, great first game but bubka since. Injuries are not the issue, adjustments to rhe way defenses are playing the run, rushing the passer. Adjustments? None If it were just Noteboom being the issue when fillinf in for Stanley this game, injury could be used. But no, it is the entire line. He has to go Quote
papasmurfbell Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM Posted yesterday at 07:46 AM I go back to what I said 13 yrs ago. Winning the sb was the worst thing for this franchise. We have been in various degrees of stuck in the mud ever since. Quote
tsylvester Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago I don't know about stuck, this team since then has had many years of still being a formidable defense, then was joined with a top 5 offense. Sure, there have been post season disappointments but it has been great fun football for many years since then. This year is the outlier, I say again, week one the offense picked up where it left off. The defense fell flat. But then something happened, behind the scenes. A struggle with the Browns was almost expected, but a win. It wasn't the way defenses played against this offense, we saw that type of spy game years ago, they figured out how to beat it. But if you watch closely in that KC game, as I said during the game, the linebacker would fake rush and hang back. Then the center would help a guard block, only then would rhe spy then rush, untouched. It happened every stinking time and there was either no adjustment by the coaching staff, or Lindy was not doing his job properly, it was his man every stinken time. Harbs said yesterday that everything, change wise, is on the table, position wise. No coaching changes right now, for whatever that this worth. People are killing Rush because of his picks, one of which was not his fault, it was Andrews, again. He actually played well for as bad as the line played, replacing him won't fix anything, especially with a guy who cant throw the ball more than 10 yards. But the line has to have some changes in it, one of rhe guards for sure, if not both. The defensive line has to have a change if nothing gets better though the pantry is empty so not sure what they can do there. Quote
oldno82 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Maybe Harbs will let Cleveland out of the doghouse and let him start at LG. The defensive line and linebackers don't have any arrows left in their quiver so I don't see us stopping the Rams offense. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago We made a pathetic trade. Oweh and a 6th for some no name safety and a 5th. Quote

I hope so, he plays far better than he practices and certainly better than the big fella. I'm glad they finally got over the failed Oweh, papa, not sure what you would expect for him, we all knew he was a waste, so a safety, experienced, and a pick higher is better than nothing. They weren't going to keep him next year any way, too inconsistent. Quote
oldno82 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Sure why not trade Oweh and get somebody who just might fill a need, and also get a higher pick? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I didn’t expect anything for him. I would have cut him long ago. Quote
