tsylvester Posted Tuesday at 03:28 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:28 PM A beat down two weeks ago seems to have not only brought the five game winning streak to an end but also smacked this team into the reality: they are playing poorly.. Sure, there is still hope for a playoff spot, win out and win the division. Any other way is virtually impossible, they would need to win and have several other teams lose the last 3 of 4 games. In short, it does not appear to matter, if you have watched this team try to play this season, it clearly is not a playoff team, well, not one we are used to seeing. There are several teams in the league, once thought to be Super Bowl contenders, teams that had been in the playoffs for years, some, for almost a decade. Yet this season, they are stumbling around like a blind man in a butt kicking contest, several, not just the Ravens, are likely to miss the post season.. Now is the time for this team to take stock, make changes on the offensive line for starters, if for nothing else than to prepare young players for next season. Maybe even to see what this team truly needs in the draft and free agency. Afterall, it cannot be worse on offense. So, who ya got? Quote
oldno82 Posted Tuesday at 08:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:16 PM The Ravens are currently pretty sickening to watch. I have to think it's time to take stock as you said and see what is needed to turn the team around. In my estimation, they need a new LT (I think Stanley is gone), RT(Rosengarten is mediocre at best), LG, RG, and, if Linderbaum leaves, a new C. They don't need any additional skill players at this point. On defense, I'd say they need 2 pass rushers, and I don't mean injured guys trying to make a comeback or old retreads. And I don't mean guys having a great year from lower rated colleges. I think it's impossible to do all this in one off-season. They need at least 2. Interestingly, that's the time Lamar's contract will end unless he renegotiates. Take that for what it's worth, but it could very well mean we need a new franchise QB in 2028. Preferably, a pocket passer who's mobile and not a mobile passer who needs training as a pocket passer. So that's pretty much a major teardown and rebuild. Oh, and let's not forget, we need a new coaching staff. What we fans will need: some patience. This won't result in a sudden, major turnaround. 1 Quote

Maybe we have 1 or 2 starters on the ol now. We will see. On the dl I think you forgot at least 2 dt. Dalton is gone and mads probably is. How long will Jenkins be here? We need 2 starters there. I think you are right about biting the bullet to get Lamar off the books. In that time get picks. in a couple yrs we will need some new linebackers. Quote
tsylvester Posted Tuesday at 10:38 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 10:38 PM I want to see more of Tez in this game, less of Bateman or even Likely. Move Vorhees to right guard or use Bullock there and let Jones take over at left guard. Now I realize they won't make any of those changes..... but a guy can dream, right Quote
oldno82 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Are there any new updates on Madds' injury? Is he going to make it back? I know there had been a lot of speculation that it might be career ending. Quote
tsylvester Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago Nothing that I have seen. Not even sure what the injury is, spinal stenosis, blown disc, cracked vertibre, who knows Quote
tsylvester Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago All I could find, apparently he posted on the Instagram a photo of him, looking slimmer and some emoji, leading some to assume he is retiring. Then this from the redit Madubuike posted on his Instagram story today(been silent for months). : r/ravens https://share.google/YWSXBYcendshUQ35a A poster claimed to be an ex of a Ravens player who cheated on her, he'll hath no fury and all. She claimed that he is already retired or set to be. That post was taken down but the thread I linked to explains... for what it is worth. Quote
tsylvester Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Cleveland has been suspended 3 games, guess he won't be back next year. Shame, they needed his toughness, he just cant get over his demons https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ravens-ben-cleveland-suspended-three-games-for-violating-nfl-substance-abuse-policy Quote
oldno82 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Well it'll be a real shame if Mads is done. But if the guy has that type of injury that endangers his long term health, he should retire. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago How long does Jenkins want to play for? He was only supposed to play a part time role. If he retires maybe peoples can be the passrush specialist, we would still need another guy who can take snaps past that. Quote
