Papa, we are adults here, unlike many of the other Ravens fans, message boards. We are settled in who we are, not weak minded, or lonely, we don't need a hug, unlike many of those boards.

So we don't need to piunt out when we are right, don't need someone else to say atta boy, you were right. Again, if you want that, go to the other boards, there are plenty of threads on those boards, filled with atta boy posts, with members starting threads proclaiming their vast knowledge of the team, the game, how "right they were". Great, fabulous, papa you were right about somethings. Frankly I cant remember if I was right about what I had for breakfast, so sorry if I cant remember what you said about this or that and it came true.

Frankly, I don't take this too seriously any more, not personally either. Good Google moogley, is this RN2 memories coming back to haunt us?

Due to where I live, I rarely listen to the fan anymore, but I was in Baltimore yesterday and on the way home, I had a listen to the afternoon show.  JLC was being torn apart by the fans calling in.  It was glorious.

😅🤣😂

Max had an issue talking s.

the attaboys I’m talking about are the player ones.  One minute it’s leaked they love this coach or that one.  When things head south not a peep.  The team leaking stuff that they are self interested in does nothing to win rings.

Who is leaking and why are 2 questions that should be asked.

Both can be true, some players could love the coach, other players not so much. The media, especially today's media, will ask 10 people a question and let their answer be for everyone. Why? For hits and clicks, to prove their point.

Been there, seen it, read it, heard it. I could tell you stories about reports that were wrong, how the person reporting it was told that it was wrong and yet still ran with it for self gratification, if we look at the core reason.

Come on, you know this, you've been around the world a few times, been into sports, radio, TV, message boards, etc for a long time.

Here is one such example

Donut man once ran a camp story about how Boller did one day. Unfortunately for donut man, I was there that day as well and had my usual set up: chairs, camera, video camera.

I filmed all of the drills, including 7 on 7. That day, Boller was exceptional, great throws, timely, accurate, right reads. Pictures and video backed this up.

I also saw donut man in the shaded area, on his phone with his back to the field for most of the drills, including the 7 on 7.

Yet, he never thought, from draft day, that Boller would work out, he wasn't alone, most people felt the same. In any event, he wrote a column that day about how badly Boller performed; factually incorrect.

That is just 1, an easy one, of how the media spins things, sports, politics, life style, selling a product. You know this, we had this discussion way back then on the RN2 board during training when I called out donut man.

Who runs ravens media?  This is no different when they leak to the media to get things they want done in dc accomplished.

Preston has definitely missed.  What I find interesting is after Preston did that article on Lamar 1057 ppl said this has been talked about for yrs,  they also added that it hadn’t been an issue they had heard in a while.

btw the timing on that is interesting.  Going into the offseason where they want to redo Lamar’s deal.  Push that leak to get him to play ball.  Back before Lamar inked before another leak came up.  Hmmm.  It’s almost like these pop up to help the team accomplish their goals.

Personally, and this is just my opinion, I think Harbs and his agent leaked that and other rumors. The more you hear him talk, now, you can tell he was behind it.

Do I believe that stuff about Lamar? Some of it, yes. Not that he demanded practice time to be moved, or that he stays up late, every night, some of those two rumors might be true. He and some other players, may have talked about practicing later in the day for what ever reason. Maybe it had more to do with ther family life, their kids, who knows.

Yes, given his age, I am sure he plays video games, my daughter still does and she is 34. But every night? All night long? Late into the next morning?

I doubt it. I did play video games, best games were after 8 pm when the rest of the WORLD, could be online at the same time as well. I worked full time, had to be up at 5 am to get to work on-time. So every night, no, especially with 2 kids, one with special needs.

So yes, there can be some truth to the rumors, but not  all is true. Knowing Donut Man, and JLC, they likely, very likely embellished the rumors, greatly.

I worked with Weisman one weekend on the draft. Let me say this; he wants, nay, desires to be the man, the one who breaks stories, no matter what. No, I don't trust him with the truth.

Woodland I don't know, I don't listen to talk radio any more, not sports talk radio, not political.

Ken is the voice of reason on the show.  He reluctantly confirmed a couple things from the article.  Cordell is their reporter that goes to the yard or the castle.  He too reluctantly confirmed stuff too.  I have met Ken in person.  He like bob tried to talk me down.

Maybe Ken has changed, he was a whiner that day, mad that he had to sit outside the castle on day 3 of the draft when no one around. Then ticked ofd even more when I was asked to analyze the draft. He exploded on the phone when I correectly picked 5 of the Ravens draft picks that year.

We laughed so hard in the studio that we had to take an extra commercial break. 😃
