oldno82 Posted Tuesday at 09:28 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:28 PM Doyle discusses his role as OC with Lamar as his QB. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/declan-doyle-lamar-jackson-ravens-youngest-coordinator-the-lounge. Quote
tsylvester Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:16 PM Good stuff, thanks "That trust is going to be earned through time," Doyle said. "It's not like I can call up Lamar and say, 'Hey, I need you to trust me.' We'll earn that over time, and it's really going to be a two-way street. He's got to earn my trust [and] I have to earn his trust, and that goes for every player that we have. "It's a huge piece of what we envision here. Trust is built off communication and accountability to that communication. Accountability is us saying something and doing what we say." Quote
papasmurfbell Posted yesterday at 12:51 AM Posted yesterday at 12:51 AM Does Lamar come to otas to learn the install of the offense? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago He really hasn’t been there the last few yrs. It’s a new offense. It should be important to him. Quote
tsylvester Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago A lot of that has been Harbs allowing it, now will Minter put his foot down? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Not much a coach can do. It’s self motivation to want to be great and sacrifice to get there. Quote
oldno82 Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago We'll know how motivated he is by way before the OTAs when we see if his contract has been adjusted. Quote
tsylvester Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Interesting tid bit from Espn The restructuring, first reported Wednesday by Over the Cap, converts $54.45 million of Mahomes' 2026 salary into a signing bonus and lowers the star quarterback's cap number to $34.65 million. The Chiefs, who missed the playoffs in 2025 after reaching the Super Bowl in each of the three previous seasons, created $43.65 million in cap space. It marks the fourth consecutive year that Kansas City has restructured Mahomes' contract. Quote
oldno82 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago That is indeed quite interesting and if Lamar really wants to achieve a higher level of greatness, like Brady and Mahomes, this is what he's going to have to do. Otherwise he may never get to wear a Super Bowl ring. By the way, Joe Burrow did it too. Quote
oldno82 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago More on what Doyle expects from his offense. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/declan-doyle-ravens-offense-vision-lamar-jackson-play-caller and, "The work will begin in earnest at voluntary organized team activities this spring. Doyle did not equivocate. Championship standards, he implied, require championship attendance. “We would expect them to be here,” he said. That expectation extends, of course, to Jackson." Quote
papasmurfbell Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I am more worried now after the presser than before. Do these guys think that their former bosses are going to help them from week to week? Minter thinks his biggest go to person is Eric? This was not done right. Quote
