NFL Network says TE David Njoku and the Chargers have agreed to terms. One-year $8million deal.

I thought he might be good for us on a one year deal.

You're probably right...also saw this quote today on our first rounder:

I think we might see a number of rookies get significant playing time, and, play well.

It does seem that we have a strong class of draftees. I think Minter, being young and new himself, will give rookies more opportunities to play than Harbs did. I think Harbs was more for veteran players playing that 1st and even 2nd year ones.

I am for letting rookies make a case for themselves.  Certain positions like te I don’t see as major contributors.  Get that rb a bunch of reps.  Also see if he can be a multitool with his unique skill set.

I agree with most of what you say except that I think all the rookies should get a ton of reps regardless of whether or not they're key contributors. Under Harbaugh, as I said before, I don't think rookies and sophomores got a fair shake often enough when it came to game time or practice time.

Well, clearly guard will be a rookie, who starts, I think Rivers, a rookie, takes over the slot corner, making major contributions. Hibner, another rookie, takes over the number 2 tight end left open by Likely leaving and has some big contributions.

And of course along the defensive line, while I don't expect a starter, I do think we see some major contributions from a couple of the rookies.

i want to see Zion out there too, Hibner for sure as well as Cuevas. I figure Guard is a done deal and I want to see Sarratt get out there and J.K. too. I want to see all the rookies get playing time in the pre-season or know why they aren't out there if they're not good enough.
