tsylvester Posted Wednesday at 03:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 03:25 PM Just what the team needs, a high powered offense coming to town and still no answer on whether Lamar Jackson will play. Surely I jest..... The last time these two teams met, Christmas was a week away and the Ravens shut out the Bengals in Cinci, 24-0. It was not a banner day for Jackson, going 8 of 12 for 150 yards, 2 tds, 1 pick. But it was plenty to get the win. Cinci won the early meeting, here, in Baltimore, 32-14, yes, the home field advantage this team used to enjoy, seems to have slipped away in the night, has anyone seen the MayFlower trucks? Without Jackson this team behind Snoop Huntley is a paltry 7-11, there are no big gulps here... We should know if Jackson will play as soon as today, Wednesday or later on this week. Seems even The Minter is getting tired of answering that question, saying tersely that he is day to day. So, who ya got? Quote
tsylvester Posted Wednesday at 06:49 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 06:49 PM Not at practice today for the open portion....mmm Quote
oldno82 Posted Wednesday at 07:21 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:21 PM It may not matter. If he doesn't play we lose. If he does play we probably lose. I really hate to go here, but considering Lamar's lack of availability in recent seasons, do we really want to give him a lucrative extension? If we do, we have to have a quality backup. Let's let Nano have a shot if Huntley can't get the O going this Sunday. Quote
tsylvester Posted Wednesday at 08:08 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 08:08 PM There is a real chance this team loses 3 in a row with the Bills after the Bengals. Going into the bye at 4-4 with 2 division loses, 3 conference loses, would not be conducive to making a post season. Quote
oldno82 Posted Wednesday at 10:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:43 PM Jackson came back as a limited participant in full team practice today. Jurgens was a full participant. So some good news, anyway. 1 Quote
tsylvester Posted Friday at 04:24 PM Author Posted Friday at 04:24 PM • Practice Status: Jackson is participating in practice for the third straight day this week (limited participant) as he works his way back from a right ankle injury suffered on October 4 against the Tennessee Titans. • Uniform & Drills: He is on the field in full practice gear for the second consecutive day, raising optimism that he could return for Sunday's divisional game against the Cincinnati Bengals. • Official Status: Head coach Jesse Minter will hold a press conference later today, and the Ravens will release their final injury report and official game status this afternoon. oldno82 Posted Friday at 10:52 PM Posted Friday at 10:52 PM Well that sucks...in addition to all the other sucky news about the game Sunday. Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 10:29 AM Author Posted Saturday at 10:29 AM Interesting, the Ravens have never called Lamar's injury a high ankle sprain, but yesterday after practice, Lamar did..... Quote
oldno82 Posted Saturday at 04:19 PM Posted Saturday at 04:19 PM If it is, that would explain why the recovery process has taken as long as it has. Quote

If it is I doubt he plays this week, especially given what he said about the pain he still feels. Gamesmanship, perhaps...... Quote
tsylvester Posted Saturday at 04:47 PM Author Posted Saturday at 04:47 PM I tell ya, I doubt it happens, the team has many other draft needs. But if they get a shot to draft Tony, wr, Miami, woof woof. He has the speed of Tyrec Hill, but the work ethic and drive of Steve Smith. Great hands, tough catches he makes look easy. Dude is a stud. Watch him if you get a chance Quote
oldno82 Posted Sunday at 05:40 AM Posted Sunday at 05:40 AM This week's game might be tough to watch. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 10:22 AM Author Posted Sunday at 10:22 AM Unless they can pound Henry with success, eat clock to keep Burrow off of the field then get after him when he is on, there is no way that they win this game with Huntley behind center. Quote
tsylvester Posted Sunday at 02:27 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:27 PM I do mail in voting, maybe I'll fill my ballot out while the game is going on. Had a thrilling day yesterday with college ball, if you haven't seen it, watch the last 2 mins of the BYU game, simply the most ridiculous ending I've ever seen. A penalty after an apparent fumble by the quarterback recovered by the BYU defense to stop a game winning drive over turned. But the player recovering the fumble used the helmet of the other team to get up. 15 yards closer for a winning field goal. Then the field goal try on 3rd down, blocked by BYU, but the kicker picks up the ball, tries to advance for a 1st down. On the tackle a flag is thrown, his helmet comes off with 2 seconds left. Flag is picked up but because his helmet came off that required a 10 second run off. Over time where BYU lost. The other odd thing. UCF had the ball at the time with 15 seconds left, no time outs and 1st down. They elected to run two, both pass plays to bleed some clock. Just drop back and throw it out of bounds. Had they not done that, they would have still had time to kick the field goal after the 10 second run off. The whole thing was quite bizarre. Quote
oldno82 Posted Sunday at 03:59 PM Posted Sunday at 03:59 PM Definitely a game with a lot of weirdness! Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. Quote
