cravnravn Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 When Ray Rice rushes for 20+ attempts, the Ravens are 9-0. Patsy's D gave up 4.6 yards per rushing attempt for the year. Patsy's Defense have allowed the 2nd most passing yards in the history of the NFL, #1 was held by the ousted Green Bay Packers. Im trying to feel better about this game. Quote
yagersports Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 You should, our offensive problems against Cinci and the Texans will be nonexistant against the Pats. Cinci and Houston have tough defenses and Cinci sees us twice a year. They know what we're about. The Pats are in trouble cuz Flacco and Rice can drop 30 on the Pats. Can the Pats drop 30 on us???? I think not, we're not the Broncos. Quote
vmax Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Here crav.... The 49ers, with their hard-nosed, passionate style, were able to derail Drew Brees and the Saints' offensive juggernaut in the divisional playoffs. The Ravens have a similar challenge awaiting them in the AFC title game against Tom Brady and the Patriots.Although it took a high level of execution against New Orleans—all the way until the final seconds of the game—the 49ers went into that game with a blueprint to which the Ravens must adhere if they hope to upend favored New England this week... Let Flacco loose. Flacco, like 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, was maligned going into the playoffs—could he be a good enough passer to help the Ravens win a Super Bowl in a postseason field that included Brady, Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Eli Manning?......http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-01-16/ravens-game-plan-for-patriots-learn-from-the-other-harbaugh?eadid=EL/SICOM&sct=nfl_t11_a2 Quote
yagersports Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 It would be nice to see us revisit the Pistol and Shotgun formations. Flacco throws very well out of these formations. And for god sakes, please, just once or maybe twice during the game go hurry up offense for no reason. Keep their defense unbalanced and guessing. Catch em in a mismatch, no huddle and push. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 I think the Pats have the most picks this season. They are very high on TO margin. They give yards for chances to take away. Quote
yagersports Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 The Pack were high in TOs as well. It's a result of the high tempo offense. Their takeaways I bet would be mostly when they get a team down by points and force a team to throw more than they want to. I'd bet alot of them occurred against poor QBs as well. All the more important for the Ravens to establish the Running game. Quote

Yeah thats a given, teams are going to throw at their scrubs..But when you break it down they had a pick 1 per 27 completions..Which puts them at the bottom of the league. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Still a better team than 2 yrs ago. Quote
