cravnravn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 How many more chances you want to give this guy? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 This was going to be his 2nd season. So how many do you think he has had? This isn't Oniel Cousins who they would never cut ties with. The guy costs nothing to keep and he is IRed so he doesn't use a spot. Quote
cravnravn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I know, but two years, two years injured, he cant even get to training camp. Cut ties with him Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 So you think last yr he was not being hippen on the IR. Come on. He got into bmore to late to be ready. Ozzie made an arrangement with his agent. Quote
cravnravn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 He had a short college career too, he was in trouble with the NCAA..He dosent have the seasoning to play at the pro level..Just my opinion.. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 The NCAA could have said he sold jerseys and I wouldn't care. The NCAA is a corrupt illegal org that needs to be ripped to shreds. Quote
cravnravn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 This is Dan Cody II Im laying odds for next season. 2-1 Hammy9-5 MCL8-5 Achilles10-1 Plays in a real game Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Dan was a 2nd round I think. That is far different to UDFA. Quote
cravnravn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 1st rd, 2nd rd doesnt deter that hes apparently injury proned. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Ehhh! Wrong again.http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?season=2005#round2With eth 53rd pick in the 2nd round the Baltimore Ravens select Dan Cody LB out of Uiniversity of Okl. The first pick in 2005 was a WR who was injury prone who they would not cut ties with. His name was Mark Clayton. http://content.usatoday.com/sportsdata/football/nfl/salaries/player/Dan-Cody So Dan got a 3 yr deal with a $760,000 SB. His 1st season he got $230k as a base salary making his rookie cap number $570k. In his 2nd he got $310k for a cap number of $ 668,613. In his 3rd yr his base was $ 385,000 and a cap hit of $ 741,933. The Ravens also signed him as a RFA in 2008 to a $460k deal.http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/dan-cody/ http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/michael-mcadoo/McAdoo was a $376,667 cap hit last yr. This season he is a $466,667 hit. In 2013 his cap # is $556,667. McAdoo is getting 2012 cap numbers verses 2005 for Cody. The kid costs nothing. If he works out he is a steal. If he fails he costs nothing. BTW Crav you might want to look into furnishing facts since your recall is obviously suspect. Quote
cravnravn Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 What are you talking about Papa? I didnt question any figures..Im questioning his durability, which it seems as he is durable as me..So we have paid this kid 800 grand and he hasnt touched the field in a game..At least Clayton got on the field. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 You were talking about cody and thinking he was a 1st round. They pay lots of guys who don't sniff the field. It happens all the time. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2012-06-06/sports/bal-mcadoo-still-has-a-place-with-the-ravens-20120606_1_sergio-kindle-lardarius-webb-ravens McAdoo still has a place with the Ravens Second-year outside linebacker Michael McAdoo, who spent his rookie year on injured reserve with a knee injury, tore his Achilles tendon last Thursday and will sit out the 2012 season.Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that McAdoo isn't going anywhere, though."I'm just disappointed for him. You feel bad,” Harbaugh said. “Here's a guy that's done a good job. He's in the weight room, all offseason he's been in the weight room. He hasn't played football in really two years. Now it's going to be three years. He's not a guy we're going to give up on. He's going to be a project for us. …. We'll see if he can be a player next year.” So It cme out of Harbs' mouth. Quote
cravnravn Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Ravens waived McAdoo yesterday, hell probably wind up on IR.. http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/sports/ravens/ravens-notebook-mckinnie-held-out-of-practice/article_51c9cbd5-d94b-5673-880d-fb0b7c8697cb.html Quote
papasmurfbell Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 Same situation as the Giants player. They can't IR a guy under 4yrs in the league until he passes through waivers. Quote

yagersports Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Why not, why pass on talent. Ok, let's see what happens. Quote
thundercleetz Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 No way McAdoo's career is over. The guy is only 22-years old and is still the youngest player on the team. Even still, I doubt he would have received much playing time this year anyways. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 That is what I have said. If he flames out no big deal. Quote
