Havent seen the actual game, I do have it on DVR...If Harbs claims its broke, it most likely is..

With this new CBA, Im having issue with the hammy tweaks, are there conditioning rules?

Yep. They are not in football condition and these things happen. The NFLPA will screw themselves up when people get mad about these dumb injuries.

Just by the look McBean should be happy to only have a break. His foot was going the wrong direction a little.

Yeah his leg looked bent a little. Watching it on TV it just looked like one of our guys fell on it. If its broke whats he out 2 months?

Update:

Ravens tight end Ed Dickson only suffered a sprained right shoulder against the Atlanta Falcons and didn't incur any structural damage Thursday night as a magnetic resonance imaging exam confirmed the initial diagnosis, according to a source.

With rest and rehabilitation, Dickson is projected to return in time for the Sept. 10 season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium.

What worries me is how bad is Tory Smiths ankle sprain? This is not good.

Torrey tweeted that he was fine and to stop lumping him in with Ed Dickson far as injuries. Aaron Wilson confirmed with me through twitter that Smith will be fine, nothing serious.

Thanks bro....I was worried that Joe would be missing 3 of his key receivers for 2-3 weeks.

He's not at practice today which is to be expected since he just hurt his ankle on Thursday but his injury isn't as serious as Dickson's which isn't too severe.

All these updates are really appreciated. Especially now that we don't get the daily updates from fans at camp. The media thinks camp is boring so they sleepwalk thru it. They didn't even know who Omar Brown is until Thursday night...and they should. Guys like Wilson get it, but they are few and far between. I just wish Aaron didn't have such a low opinion of us on here.

We're really not a bad lot...

I tell you one thing. The players seem less distracted and there appears to be a whole lot less he said she saud stuff. That is one good result.

Wait til Preston regains his hardon, its coming (no pun intended)

Loss of preseason annoys Ed Dickson

Expected to miss the rest of the preseason due to sprained right shoulder, tight end is itching to return sooner rather than later

A lot of NFL players view training camp and the preseason as a necessary evil and welcome the beginning of the regular season. But Ravens tight end Ed Dickson – who is expected to miss the remainder of the preseason after spraining his right shoulder Thursday night – is not happy about joining Dennis Pitta (broken bone in right hand) as an observer until the regular-season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 10.

“It’s very frustrating because these reps in camp, that’s where you gel,” Dickson said in the locker room at one end of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis after Sunday’s practice. “We’re glad we got the offseason and there wasn’t a lockout. We can build off that, and we’re just going to pick it up wherever we come in. We’ve been running. I’m helping Dennis out now. Me and Dennis are helping each other to stay in shape so that when we get back out there, we’re not going to miss a beat.”

Dickson spoke publicly for the first time since suffering the injury in the team’s 31-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in the preseason opener for both teams. He caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Flacco with 10:49 left in the second quarter, but landed awkwardly on the shoulder.

“When it happened, it was a freak accident,” Dickson recalled. “It was a routine catch in the end zone, [but] I knew something was up because it started to burn. When I got to the sideline, they took me back. I’m just happy the MRI showed up negative, and I just want to get it stronger than it ever was.”

Dickson said he is trying to rid the soreness and strengthen the shoulder, but the good news is that he feels as if his shoulder is improving on a daily basis. That improvement is one reason why Dickson didn’t necessarily agree that he would definitely be sidelined for the remainder of the preseason.

“If it so happens that I come back early, I definitely want to get some work in and I want to take advantage of those opportunities in the preseason games to get my chemistry down with Joe before the opener,” he said. “But I’m aiming to be ready when it counts.”
