Im all too familiar with back troubles..Guess this will be Cary Williams shining moment tomorrow night.

CB Smith Leaves Practice Early

Almost as soon as cornerback Jimmy Smith returned to practice, he was back on the sidelines.

Last year’s first-round pick returned on Saturday from a back injury. On Wednesday, he landed hard on his back while leaping to break up a pass.

Smith shook off the pain and continued, but later in the practice he gingerly walked off with a trainer.

Harbaugh did not give any injury updates following practice. The Ravens were hoping to see Smith get his first game action of the preseason, and Webb indicated he was on track to start.

“We’ll have Jimmy Smith back out on the end,” Webb said. “It will be a little different than it was last week. I know we had me and Cary out there, but it will be a little different rotation this week.”

I dont know about injury proned 82, but an issue with a back dosent just dissapear with 2 aleves and a days rest..Takes time if there is no structural damage inside.

I'm getting concerned about this guy. Is he injury prone?

J. Smith has a very long, limby build. While he did work really hard this past offseason to get into shape (he lost 10 pounds), his build is bound to come across minor injuries like twisted ankles and muscle strains. As long as it is nothing serious, I am sure he'll be fine.

I hope he's OK enough to play next week. I think we are going to need all 3 CBs with the quality of QBs we're facing this year.

Also there are a lot of nagging injuries this yr. I thik it is because they aren't allowed to practice and be ready for the season.

I'm beginning to think you're right about this one, Papa.
