OutsideRzAcE Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Watching some of the games this weekend, it looks like when in doubt, officials are holding onto thier flags. I saw a ton of plays that would have been called pass interfereance under the regular guys - so many in fact that it appears defensive players are being more aggressive in anticipation of there not being many calls. The replacement refs also appeared to call fewer block in the back penalities on punt, kick returns. We'll see how this plays out for the Ravens, but so far I actually like the fact that defense players are being giving a chance to defend receivers without ticky tack pi calls coming out. Reminds me of 2000. Quote
vmax Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I saw the same thing. All in all the Ref's were not that much different than the regular ones. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted September 11, 2012 Author Posted September 11, 2012 Funny..the guys on the local morning show said this week had the most pass interfereance calls of any opening week in nfl history. So much for my expert analysis. I guess they must all have been in games that I wasn't watching Quote
cravnravn Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Maybe Goodells eyes get opened after seeing our game, One thing is to let them play, but its another when fists start flying as happened with Cory Williams & Desean Jackson, they both should have been ejected, its a clear rule, fists thown, automatic ejection.
