oldno82 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I'd hoped they would have gotten this settled in the pre-season...quote is from the Baltimore Sun via the Ravens' website: Flacco on contract negotiations as he heads into the season opener: "It is what it is. If they don't want me here anymore, I think it's their loss," Flacco said. "If I'm not good enough to be here, then that's the way it is. If I go out and perform the way I think I should this year, then I think I'm getting more expensive. Things are going to work out with the way we go out and play. It's not my job to worry about it." [The Baltimore Sun]
cravnravn Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Hey, Ive said it all along that he was more important than Ray Rice
oldno82 Posted September 10, 2012 Author Posted September 10, 2012 They need to pay the man and not let it linger.
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 When they meet at a price they will get it done.
smokeyjon Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Yeah well Joe is flying a banner over M&T right now that says "HEY STEVE ARE YOU FUCKING PAYING ATTENTION?"
cravnravn Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Bisquit is so Fucked with not getting Joe done, if this is any indication..League MVP, Super Bowl MVP We talking Brady money his agent will ask for
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 It is one game. Pull those reins a little.
yagersports Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I think the Ravens were in go ahead and show me mode. I don't think the Ravens have any problem paying Joe what he wants if he proves that he's the general that he says he is. And Joe is doing just that. The Ravens will be more than OK with having to pay him more.
cravnravn Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 It is one game. Pull those reins a little. Its 1 game but he left right off from where he was last season, hell he took a giant leap forward.
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I am talking about the league and SB MVP talk after 1 game.
cravnravn Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 If I pick us in the SB I might as well give us the SB MVP too
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Just the claim on the league MVP is a long stretch.
yagersports Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 It's fun though, I'm in Crav. Flacco is the best QB in the league right now, League MVP, Super Bowl MVP, and hell Flacco for President!!!!!!!
thundercleetz Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 If Flacco wins a Super Bowl this year he will be able to name the moon as his asking price. Get him signed!
yagersports Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Flacco for supreme commander of the world. Commander Flacco.....that has a good ring! He could make everyone get unibrows and handlbar mustaches!!!!!!!
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/11/flaccos-agent-phone-hasnt-rung-yet/ Flacco’s agent’s phone hasn’t rung, yet
yagersports Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Harbaugh says we have to pay the man. Case closed. lol
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 He also belives in Cam and Mattison.
yagersports Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Mattison is head coach at a college program that is finally moving in the right direction after years of mediocrity. Cam is going to be coaching one of the best offenses in the NFL, again. He built an offensive juggernaut in San Diego. Hard to refute that and not support those two. I didn't think Cam had it in him. I'm obviously wrong.
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Mattison is not at Michigan anymore. He is a fine college coach but it doesn't work in the pros. Cams offense has been ignored for the Indy offense.
yagersports Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I didn't realize Mattison was not there anymore, however that does not preclude the fact that Cam will be running a top offense again. I don't like it either, I wasn't a supporter, however it's a fact. And this is clearly Cam's offense. Yes we're hurrying up as Peyton did in Indy and yes we're using techniques to keep the defense on the field and communication techniques to run plays back and forth, but the down the field actual plays are Coryell/Cam like. And if Cam changed to get better by adapting successful portions of another offense, even the better on him as adaptation is never easy for guys with large egos.
papasmurfbell Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 This is nothing like what Cam has been running.
