vmax Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) How would you like to pay $150 a seat for this game? For any Redskins game? Detroit is 0-2 this season and has lost 19 consecutive games dating back to December 2007. But when you look at the Lions early-season roster, no game seems more likely for a breakthrough that Sundays home matchup against Washington. The Redskins staggered through a 9-7 victory last week against St. Louis, the worst team in the NFL based on ESPN.coms Week 3 Power Rankings, and have lost their past four road games. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/8556/does-the-lions-streak-end-sunday Washington's next four opponents have a combined 0-8 record so they will be playing their peers. vmax Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 "You're spending $700 a week to come out and see some entertainment, and you get there and it's really not a lot of entertainment. I think people just growing weary of that. "You know, I think you look at the owner, he on the verge of losing fans. You know, how long before people just give up and stop coming? You look at the players, and people want you out of here. You look at the coach, people want you out of here. So who's not on the hot seat? Until we come out and play to our potential, I think everybody on the hot seat."Clinton Portishttp://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2009/09/clinton-portis-asks-how-long-before-people-just-give-up-and-stop-coming/1 Quote

papasmurfbell Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 They maybe due but I want to see that number run up to 20+. Quote
BengalBilly Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 They maybe due but I want to see that number run up to 20+.Why? In light of the Big 3 automakers troubles, Detroit could use something to smile about other than how Ford avoided a bailout. Quote

83eh01 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 In the world of odds, Detroit is due. Hopefully before facing the Ravens. Like maybe against the Steelers. In the interest of fairness, I hope they beat the Browns and Bengals too Quote
vmax Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 "You either want it or you don't. A lot of these guys don't want it," Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said. "They want the other stuff." Quote
vmax Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 One fine fan posted this thread title on the Redskins board... Team should change name to Redasses after that loss Quote
papasmurfbell Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I heard a guy who has been a life long fan is saying he will change to a Ravens or Squeelers fan at 9pm tonight. He said this on his facebook account. I for one wish the streak had been longer. Quote
