I can't put any faith in Gradkowski because I haven't seen him do anything. He hasn't played so how we do we have any idea how good he is?

You could say that about any player you draft. You just have to play him and see what happens. This is more of a redshirt year for Gino. Coming out of a FCS school he needs a year in an NFL weight room. He was drafted for his tools that project as a good center. If Birk retires we'll probably bring in a cheap veteran and let him and Gino battle it out.

I'm reserving judgment on Grad. On the one hand I would have expected to see him at least some this season (to spell Birk) if he was any good but I'd sign on to trying him out next pre-season as long as we have a another option.

Is that like when they were leading enough and let all the other backups play? They never let the young guys in. I have thought that is stupid for yrs.
