thundercleetz Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I was not alive when the Colts were here but I am proud as heck to be a Ravens fan. Some of my best memories in my twenty-four years have been from watching the Ravens. I was only twelve years-old when the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2001 but I remember everything about that season. I have a Wheaties box from that season on my desk at work and a co-worker and I were looking at all the individual scores from that season going over the games: the loss in Miami in the pouring rain on Sunday night, Shannon Sharpe's long reception capping a huge comeback against Jacksonville, Banks throwing an INT in the end zone to lose against the Skins, Del Greco missing the kick that started the end of his previously elite career, the Titans playoff win, Goose sacking Gannon twice in the AFC Championship, the memories go on and on. As awesome as that season was, this season beats it! The incredible plays we witnessed, the ups and downs, the fact that almost everyone of our wins came down to the wire, this is one of the most magical seasons by any team ever! Then throw in the fact how we lost in the playoffs last year and that this was Ray's last year, incredible! Not to mention, being old enough to partake in the partying in Fed Hill that happened after the win! Quote
vmax Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 You Can't Ask For A Better Playoff Run Than The 2012 Baltimore Ravens Had.They Beat the Best.Underdogs all the way.A playoff run that was loaded with spectacular plays. This 2012 Ravens team had just as many great characters and key contributers as the 2000 team.It had a ton of adversity to overcome....and they did it in inspiring fashion because they believed they could when all others doubted. They hung together just like the 2000 team did...like family. Yea...it's Storybook. Quote
Spen Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Its odd. I never thought Baltimore would get another NFL team so you might think the first Super Bowl win for the Ravens would be the top for me. Not so. I don't know why but I am more happy and excited about this one. I'm still ecstatic! Quote
oldno82 Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 That very well sums up all my feelings too, Spen. Quote
