Maybe We Can Get Excited

OK...here we go :kool:

Last year the Ravens offense wasn't much to shout about. In fact, it hurt my eyes.

They were the 17th ranked offense...21st in points scored with 21.4 points per game.

The D gave up 20.1

But wait! This D they are fielding this year definitely looks to be far better than last year.

Special Teams?

Just as good. :gorave:

And this years offense should be able to duplicate 21.4 points per game.

And they were seconds away from making the playoffs last year. And they lost to the Yets. :scared:

We know this team is going Darkside this season.

Darkside requires a magic number for the minimum number of points the offense needs to score to come away with the win.

What's that Magic Number?

Let's go to work on this! :gorave:

I mean....you can see where this is going.

As in something to look for. :fishin:

Max, I agree with you on all points except that we should duplicate 21.4 points per game this season. I just don't see it. I will say 17 points per game as an average, with the D allowing an average of 16 PPG.

OK...so you have 2 magic numbers. 16 for the D and 17 for the O.

That's fair.

I think the O will at least match or beat their 21.4.

If the D does your 16, then we're looking good. :gorave:

CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross has a sprained knee, the NFL Network reports.

Bengals.com writer Geoff Hobson tweeted that Ross's injury is not believed to be serious but could keep him out for a couple of weeks. At the very least, his Week 1 status is in doubt....http://www.espn.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/post/_/id/27990/reports-bengals-wr-john-ross-has-sprained-knee-opener-in-doubt

Didn't he miss a lot of games in college?

This will help the Ravens opening day.

He has three documented surgeries both knees (2014 and 15) and a labrum repair done after the University of Washingtons pro day in mid-March.

In addition to the ACL and meniscus repair on his left knee that caused him to miss the 2015 season, a year earlier Ross underwent the dreaded microfracture surgery that is done when there is an area of bare bone in the knee.
