Ya know, in the backs of our minds, I think we all wondered how great this defense was, their turn around built against bad offenses. Well, that fleeting thought was destroyed after the past two weeks, especially after last night's game. What a performance but the defense, 17 pts, 7 of those on a short field. Against one of the best offenses in the league, again. The Ravens offense racked up over 300 yards of offense, but only 17 pts. Even after the gaff at the goal line, they had what, 11 mins to put more pts on the board?! Jk ran like a man possessed, on the ground and out of the back field on passes. I agree with him, they should have fed him more, especially at the goal line. That play was the pinnacle of this offensive play calling. I was shocked that this game was close, Huntley was Huntley, some great effort for someone so limited. That run was epic. If there was any, I mean any tear in this team over Lamar, their play put that to bed. Humphries tucked it in for a good night sleep saying how Lamar has been limping around the facility, how he hopes he signs the Ravens deal. What ever happens, this defense is great, the running game outstanding, it no matter who is at qb, the play calling has to change. Harbs saying the calls were right, that it was execution, is wrong. A good coach puts their players in a position to succeed. Knowing your players limitations. Roman failed in both. What a game, what a season, what a future this team has.

Oh and Jones did what not even Lamar could do, throw for over 250 yards (301), 2 tds and run for 50 or more, 78 yards in a playoff game He also did this with scrubs for receivers. What did we learn from the games so fat this weekend? The right play designs and calls are more important than who is running the routes. That an accurate passer can make all the difference in a wide out getting yards after catch. That just because you have the 2 fastest men on the field does not mean 1) they will get open, 2) your qb can find them 3) you will win

Phins have a make shift line that includes a practice squad guard and a rookie qb. 4 mins left they are down by 3, have put up 31 pts and their big 2 receivers have barely been a factor. Turnerovers have been the key. I've seen Waddle and Hill drop big passes, run routes on top of each other, cut routes off almost.leading to a pick. Yet people complain about our receivers. OH yes, and they have run out of timeouts because they can't get plays in on time. And been penalized for delay of game. 4th and less than 1, delay of game, they miss on the 4th and 6, turnover.on downs. With no timeouts, this game is over

Woke up this am to the Jags winning, a massive comeback. How? The Chargers only attempted to run the ball 7 times in the 2nd half. That leaves a lot of time for a comeback. Chargers being Chargers, they always, always find ways to lose big games.

Boy, Josh Allen's day has gotten very bad. Two picks in the last 2 mins of the first half leads to 11 pts for the Phins. A fumble on their first possession of the 2nd half was returned for a touchdown. Phins lead now, 24-20 after being down 17-0, will it last?

So, other than Lamar, we will be at full strength for the game, especially on defense. So glad to have Peters back, though his subs did a fine job. Him at full strength, Williams, even Humphries who has had some nagging injuries. I can't remember the last game I wanted them to win as bad I really want them to win this one. I hope Roman has seam routes with Andrews and Likely on either side of their safeties written down for every pass play. The Bengals made it clear those routes will be wide open, as they press to stop the run & close out on those underneath routes. Are you listening Gregg Roman!

I am so sick of hearing how bad the Ravens are without Lamar, seriously. None of them put the games into context. Last year, the Ravens set an NFL record for games missed due to injury, more than half the defense was out along with half the offensive line, not too mention the entire backfield. This year, who is their backup qb? A nice guy, but a terrible NFL quarterback. I would venture to say that yes Max, Taylor Hinkie on this team wins four of the six games Lamar missed this year. I will go a step further, I think with Hinkie, they just might beat the Bengals Sunday night. No, Hinkle is not a starter, he is the younger version of the beard from Harvard. Wow plays, but no-no... Without Lamar this team needs a good quarterback, not a Hall of Fame, not an mvp, sure it would be nice. But with this defense and running game, all mostly young players, yes this TEAM is not finished without Lamar, no matter what happens Sunday.

I think Sammy is just being a good teammate. He is essentially saying that with Lamar, they can win it all. Sure he banters for a bit, but all in all I think people will read what they want to in his quotes.

It is very strange VA. His knee got worse? Did Not improve? Did he use crutches? A brace? I get the team keeping this hush hush, what I don't get is Lamar coming out an tweeting that he is out for the game, right after his head coach says he is still day to day?! And, detailing his injury. It seems he is speaking to someone or trying to convince possible suiters that he is not loafing, not quitting on his team. Still having swelling can be a sign that other ligaments are injured, we are 6 weeks out! Most if not all people who have this injury are ready to roll this far out. Not to say he is lying, we all heal differently. But coming out like this may be the nail in the coffin for his time here.
