  1. Yes, just pointing out that the Jets had been planning on Favre for a few months & only were able to pull the trade off in August of that year. With June one post cut designations and such, a team like the Colts or Texans could wait till then to make an offer
  2. True, but it has been done before, just heard Mike Tannenbaum go through the process of how they got Farve to the Jets.
  3. Well, well, well, Lamar came to his senses and agreed to the original offer...... if you believe that, then I have
  4. Interesting, maybe they will use him as a player in a trade...
  5. Ravens tender Huntely, right of first refusal, 2.6 mil... Reports that they did look into Mayfield and Brissett, thankfully they both went elsewhere. Of the remaining qbs, I wonder, who is better than Huntley? Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Carson Wentz, Marcus Mariota, Teddy Bridgewater, Chase Daniel, and Gardner Minshew? I wouldn't mind Minshew over Huntley, in Monken's system he might do well
  6. Well, teams, including the Ravens, have until July to make an offer, to extend him. They may wait until after the draft to decide.. so we need
  7. If he gets an offer, the team has to be notified, the team will have 5 days to match or trade. So I would expect to find out pretty quickly. Lamar today
  8. Iggles have lost a lot of players, a few coaches, they will not be the same team this season. The Ravens are a qb, solid qb play, not exemplary play mind you, from returning to and winning playoff games.
  9. Sos it has been just over an hour since he has had the phone lines open. Did he get 100 calls from telemarketers, from phone banks selling extended warranties, or from the Disabled Insurance group..... did he just go round in circles?
  10. Brisette off the market, to the Commandos
  11. Grub, our favorite runningback is back with the Ravens, https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/ravens-justice-hill-staying-in-baltimore/amp/ Hill is re-signing with Baltimore on a two-year, $4.5 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
  12. Mayfield off the board, 1 year up to $8.5 mil to the Bucs, Likely taking them off the board as well..
  13. Beware the Ides of March.... how spooky, Et Tu Brute!
  14. Those were starters, men who played a lot of snaps, he is not. Could happen, sure, but he loves it here in Bmore, loves playing for the Ravens, so expect him to finish out here
  15. Number 4 & 35 this year, plus a 1 next year works for me
  16. Well today is the day when it can start, who will offer, what will they offer, will the Ravens match.
  17. His age for one
  18. Kirk Cousins reworked his deal to free up cap space. Yet another major guaranteed contract that had to be reworked for a team. Here is the next big question, If Lamar is signed, a year or two down the road, will he be willing to rework his deal as needed?
  19. Lamar-"People throw at the wall and hope it stick" Well, when, then man up and speak your mind like an adult, how much did the Ravens offer? It's gonna come out soon, it being the truth about what they offered and you turned down. Don't call people liars unless you can prove it.
  20. & Jackson’s reply to the latest Shefty story on the deal the Ravens offered
  21. FYI, the Bill's had to restructure both Allen's and Miller's deals to get under the cap and have some left over for free agents. All they, & the Browns are doing is kicking the can down the road in hopes of a much bigger salary cap. Like you, I hope that this soap opera ends soon one way or another
  22. More on what Lamar turned down last year, from Shefty..https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2023/3/14/23639469/schefter-lamar-jackson-turned-down-200-million-guaranteed-deal-back-in-september-nfl-qb-news More information surrounding the contract offered to quarterback Lamar Jackson back in September has been reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on The Adam Schefter Podcast. According to reports, Jackson turned down a deal with $200 million in guaranteed money Chris Mortensen and I reported on this last September when Lamar Jackson was offered a deal that he turned down. A deal that included at the time he was offered $133 million due at signing,” Schefter said. “$133 million guaranteed. The contract also had injury guarantees that brought the guarantees to $175 million and it then had a springing guarantee that could’ve brought the value for the contract, the guaranteed money of the contract to $200 million in guarantees... and yes, those were the actual numbers and that was the situation. So those really were the guarantees for Lamar Jackson.
  23. It has to be two firsts, at the least. Yes, they, the Ravens can work out a sign and trade, for more than 2 1sts, but not less.
  24. Jimmy G off the board, so are the Raiders as far as Lamar is concerned. 3 years, 67 mil, 34 mil guaranteed
