  1. Leave a man wide open
  2. Just run the ball in the 2nd half, no passes, Lamar the line pass blocking can't be trusted. Use all of the play clock, run three times and punt if you must. Trust the defense to get to Ben, his arm is hurting, they haven't given their best shot yet, to hamg on and hit him often.
  3. 17-7 at half, great running the clock out to end the half and get in field goal range..
  4. Passing is a bad thing in this game, but running is working very well. This 2nd half should be interesting
  5. Judon likely ended his time here in Bmore with the ejection, when the season is over. These pre snap penalties are killing this offense..
  6. I think they will be ok without Stanley, a likely broken ankle/ tib-fib done for the season.
  7. The only thing keeping the Stelers in this game is Lamar; a pick 6, 2 fumbles, one lost at the goal line, at least a 10 point swing. He was lucky on two throws that should have been picked off...
  8. Phone injury time out, time to charge, fitting I suppose with Phillips down
  9. If they are going to be that ticky tack on PI they better call it for both sides
  10. Fumble! Nice work by Peters
  11. That is a lame flag
  12. Boykin! Nice pass & catch
  13. Stupid play call
  14. Nice move by Snead
  15. You can't throw late over the middle especially when you have one on one on the outside, safety in the middle of the field, easy pass & catch instead of a pick six...
  16. Rain & a soggy field... Should be interesting specialy if the wind gets going..
  17. Ugh, could be prep for another trade, opens a little cap room
  18. So if the passing game does not work this weekend, do the Ravens pull the trigger and pay the ransom for Theilan? He would break the cap but might really help this passing attack
  19. I really don't know what to make of this game or what to expect from this team. If they play their best game, the Steelers don't stand a chance. However, the best way to beat this blitz happy defense is the short quick passes the Steelers utilize. The best way to stop Lamar is with speed at the defensive ends/olb and press coverage; exactly how the Steelers play/have. Hey, we have better special teams, right? No fans in the stands helped the Dodgers thwart a guy's attempt to steal home, the pitcher was able to hear his catcher yell the guy was stealing. Can that help the wideouts yell to Lamar they are open? Or for Stanley to yell; "look out!"
  20. Raiders put 4 of five offensive linemen on the covid list, switches the Sunday night games, puts Vegas at 4pm in case they have to postpone that game to ensure there is a Sunday night game... Losers...
  21. Good deal for a 3rd pick next year and conditional 5th the year after. Can they keep him motivated? I think so with the leadership on the defensive line
  22. It has amazed since they came here with Jackson & Alexander, since they had to let them walk they haven't been able to draft one. I do think they have some talent good enough, it's just they are not using the routes properly. Ive also noticed on the all 22, that Lamar has not thrown on time to a receiver about to break open or who should get open on his route based on the defense. Instead, Lamar chose to throw elsewhere for no gain because of coverage. Now, the key is, who was the primary? Every qb does this, from time to time, but Lamar does it quite often. Again, we do not know the progression of the routes and Lamar is still young. We see receivers from other teame step in off the street and run routes properly, get open often, easily, make the catch. Yet who does that for the Ravens? How often do we see 3 receivers within five yards of each other? Why is it this offense can't run a freaking screen? Even a wide receiver screen other teams get 8 or more yards on, this team loses yards. No slants, which should work perfectly with this run threat, no come back routes on the outside with all of the speed we now have at wideout. Are they hiding these plays for the playoffs?
  23. I would take what we see on an early Monday evening game with the same salt we do with these stupid Thursday games...... Same as we should do with the first 4-5 games of this year. With no camp, no preseason and missing practices & fears of covid, as actual preseason even though they count. This bye week could not have come at a better time as said above. Now, can they get things going? Sure, they say that they feel they are close, but words are just words until we put them into action. I do believe the team has used these 4,5 games as preseason as it were, working on just enough in game to win, I think this true for every team this year; what other choice did they have? However, as Papa said, history speaks volumes. One of the issues this team has had is penalties/discipline. That has been true for years, what, we expect Harbs to get that corrected now, especially the offensive penalties. The other major discipline issue was on defense, being out of position, not paying close attention, trying to do their own thing. That too has been an issue for the past few years, we thought it was "fixed" with Jefferson and Thomas jettisoned, maybe they have been and the defense allowing those ridiculous completions in the 2nd half was just being tired or simply looking ahead to the time off/ Pitt in two weeks.. Time will tell. By the end of November we will know all that we need to know about this team, will they be 9-1 5-5 or somewhere in between....
  24. A very nice take on this 5-1 team, were talking about the say Browns if they were 5-1, I am sure most of you would agree as well. Now, since this is not the Browns, I am sure they not only can, but will "fix" what is clearly broke. They better because the next 5 games are deadly. USA TODAY: Opinion: After close call against Eagles, Ravens hardly look like an elite team. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/columnist/mike-jones/2020/10/18/baltimore-ravens-lamar-jackson-philadelphia-eagles/3706461001/
  25. Actually, yes. Three scores from a short field, one short drive ended with no points on a sack that took the team out of field goal range. As I stated at the time of it happening, 3 mins left in the 3rd quarter, still a substantial lead, the offense sputters, gives the Iggles the ball back with a minute & a half left in the quarter. No time consuming drives in the 4th. Also as I said, the massive pass rush really takes a lot of energy. A great example of being tired was when a "hail mary pass" was completed between Peters and Humphries; neither man had the engery left in their legs to play the ball, jump high.. You can be elated for the win, but this offense is clearly struggling to control the ball.
