  1. I heard a quote the other day, applied to the Jags when asked if they were legit, that also applies to the Ravens;"You don't play the Browns, Colts, Texans in the playoffs." While it is true, you can't win if you don't get in, and, anything can happen, and, clearly there is no dominant team this year, the Ravens are cleqrly the weakest of the teams, should they get in. It makes no sense to me for them to get in and lose the first game. This only keeps Biscuit from making changes in the front office and coaching staff. I am sure there will be some who leave on their own, but..... I know, I sound like a broken record but this team is still weak in the areas that matter. The turnovers are a false front, look at the qbs they played. How many winning teams did they beat? The Steelers swept them, the D gets no pressure on the qbs against good teams and the secondary still has major holes. The line is barely manageable, and the receivers are not dependable. Sure Joe looks better but ...
  2. With the Ravens now likely to pick in the 20's of the first, take this young man, he is a difference maker...
  3. One never knows what goes on behind closed doors. He will make his billions.... I am sure he is not nor was not the only owner to do such dispicable things...
  4. Often Wrong Soong is that you?
  5. Well they won inspite of their coaching....
  6. Roll over? No, I don't expect that but players start trying to make big plays to add to their resume. This leads them to stay out of the scheme, such as a defensive tackle instead of occupying an offensive guard, or tackle, they split them and try to make a play. This leaves them out of the play and exposes a linebacker to being blocked, leading to a big run. Or a safety trying to jump a route, not seeing the receiver on the other side doing a post route, leaving the deep end open... I am not saying it will happen, just that this is how is mostly happens when teams fall a part. Kiser is playing better, save for thatone bone headed play against the packer leading to the over time loss. Gordon is looking to save his career, healthier than most players this time of year because of the time off. So yes, they could easily go off and tear this secondary apart.
  7. Likely, sadly, but with that defensive collapse, again, costing the team yet another win in Pit, combined with them not playing well against good quarterbacks and Pees admitting he screwed up in the Pit game, we could see at least him gone, hopefully.
  8. True, but that could also mean they play for them selves, not the scheme and if they get down early, they may give up. In other words, this game could go any way and betters, smart, will stay away..
  9. If they lose this week end, major changes are sure to happen. If they squeak into the playoffs, sadly I think only a few minor changes happen and even then, it is likely the coaches choose to leave on their own.....
  10. Both Carr and Jefferson are over rated, neither can tackle and are slow to recognize the routes....
  11. 11 pt lead blown in the last 3 mins... AGAIN! Their answer? Oh, just a simple fix.... Sure, the offense could have gotten one more first down, but the defense should have had 1 more stop... Just like many said at the begining of the year, no pressure on the qb late in the game, late in the season. The secondary continues to have break downs, communication issues, covered up by poor quarterbacks. The play calling on offense & defense continues to suck late in the games, as well as poor decisions by the head coach.. Yet Biscutt will do nothing, especially if they make the playoffa by beating horrible teams...
  12. The real defense showed uo, can't get pressure on a good qb, can't stop a real running game, can't hold a double digit lead....
  13. What ever they do, please do not let Joe throw passes to Hayden's way.....
  14. & VA, you would also have to do the one chip challenge if the Ravens win.
  15. A shut out, this time the Ravens are the ones getting shut out. 27-0.
  16. No fruit cake here. Yes, this is the time to find his replacement. By & large the next rookie qb is not going to light up the league a few of the most recent ones have. They will need two years or so to adjust to this NFL game, to learn, to bulk up a bit. But a good majority of them have the skill set this league is turning to; quick releases, quick feet, mobile. The days of the strict pocket passer are ending, for many reasons. But get his replacement in this draft, and in 2-3 years this team will be set whether Flacco stays or goes.
  17. Oh I fully expect them to be better. Those young defensive players are getting the playing time that will make them better next year. Yanda will be back, some of the young linemen like Skurah, while not grear this year, got plenty of experince this year as well so I expect the line to be a bit better. Great? No, Jensen is terrible but the front office loves him for some reason. The running backs are set and more than adequate, cheap too boot. Do they need to over hall the front office? Yep, you know where I stand on that issue, I think they need two offensive tackles, replace Mosley, Web, Suggs, yep. Need a real receiver amd find a real tight end? Yep, get Joe's replacement, Yep. But the base of this team is here and young...
  18. There is a lot that goes into his numbers, from Joe being hurt/ not accurate recently to the line that can't block long enough to unzip your pants to the play calling/ design.... They have no one else, the likelyhood they get a top receiver in the draft ready to go is now nil. The short list of wide outs willing to come here cheaper is shorter than my memory, wait, what were we discussing? Oh yeah, can I get fries with that burger?
  19. He is worth the money, good guy, plays hard, good role model for young receivers.
  20. We knew something was up when he went 6 games without a pass interference penalty...
  21. Part of the league's way of speeding up games; less penalties. It used to be only call obvious, play affecting penalties, but the past five years or so, they have called any of them they say, even the holding away from the play.
  22. PED violation, he will not fight the suspension but serve it while injured...
  23. Should there be any concern for now the 3rd no, 4th achilles tear? They claimed it was the fake field, but now I wonder, training, training staff? Eh, a win is a win. The defense was picked a part, 19 straight completions, some 90% for the game. But what ever Suggs said at the end of the 3rd quarter lit a fire in the bellies of the defensive line & blitzers, major pressure on the qbs... Canaday even ran over a runningback to get to Stafford....
  24. As fans, we were over due for this type of game. Enjoy....no complaints from me.
  25. Yep, we shall see, this week a good qb comes in with receivers who make contested catches, who are quick, smart, good....
