Ok, fine, rah-rah, sis boom bah. Every day is sunny. This line is great, they never make a mistake. They try real hard & in the end they get back up and try again.... We used to be able to discuss this team & organization completely, honestly with out attacks. That is what made this place great. Yes, some of the conversation becomes redundant because the team, the organization keeps making the same mistakes.

I would, to send a message to the team. It's one thing to make a "mistake", quite another to make another one while serving out the suspenaion...

Since the front office has done a terrible job at finding quality offensive linemen, they are fair game in this thread. Discussing the faults of a team is not hating on them. Only blind fans praise every move the team makes. Jeepers Max, the team could have 40 turnovers in a game and go scoreless for a full season and some folks would see no fault... Granted, it has only been one game, but the same issues they had for the past few seasons were ever present in that game..

If they traded him after the super bowl, easily 2-1's & at least a 2. However, Ponzy lost the team after the first super bowl win when they let Trwnt walk, who could not hit the side of a barn with a hand grenade. Imagine what would have happened if they traded Joe.... Ponzy had no choice but to five Joe what he wanted. If anything, he should have tried to trade a season earlier, but then he likely doesn't have a 2nd ring.

Joe can't throw down field, gonna take a lot of short passes or serious catch & runs to rack up that much yardage..... Oh and he can't throw more than 17 passes... Hope he doesn't try to pick up and of his kids this week...

The problem is, Howard & Jensen can't play any better than they did and they were barely serviceable. Don't give me Howard just joined the team crap, he has been this way his entire career. Stanley has yet to show he can play with power; he was known for quick feet & zone blocking, not power running. Hopefully he can improve because he still gets blown back, over run by bull rushers. Jensen we know is horrible, if he isn't missing a block he is holding. Don't ask him to combo block then rub off onto a linebacker because he can't. Hurst did all right for hiz first real stint inside, he is a strong, power blocker, maybe now that he is where he belongs and can focus on it, he turns out all right. Yanda we know, mister steady, he can play better than he did Sunday. So yes there is hope.

3rd time in 4 years he will have missed most of if not all of the season. While one cannot predict injury, this is another mark on the Ponzy Schemer... 6-8 weeks, hammies are never truly healed until you stop using them for a long time... Harbs said Smith injury is not serious, so I guess we can expect him to go on IR soon....

Turn on the Vikes vs Saints game. Vikes offensive line has not played a snap together until tonight... See the difference? The Ravens line was getting blown back, missing blocks, not getting to blocks. Sure, maybe you are right they just need time, 3-4 games. I hope so Max, you know that, but you also know I look at the game, not just the ball, and do not excuse away bad play. 11 penalties, 8 drives of 3 plays or less... Jensen is not going to get stronger as the season goes on, he is what he is, bad. Stanley was not known for power, he showed no signs he has gotten stronger either...

Max, I don't play nor expect fantasy numbers. What you state about 8,9 man box is the point. True they ran against it, for ONE DRIVE. After that, as I pointed out, 3 & out the rest of the game. One would expect, after a 17 play, all run drive, they would at least go play action on first down of the next drive and try to pass. But they did not, they just ran 3 times & punted. 8 times in the game they ran 3 plays or less in a series. The line could not protect Flacco, the receivers could not get open, certain players kept comitting penalties on offense, 11 penalties, ALL AGAIN.. So nothing changed from last season, they still can't run, consistantly , still can't stop shooting them selves in the foot and still can't coach.

Other than the first drive, 13 plays. 57 yards ( field goal), 7 plays 76 yards (56 on one play) (touchdown), but the 17 play 81 yard drive that was helped out by 2 questionable pass interference penalties, that also included 2 delay of game penalties against the offense and also 2 time outs to avoid other penalties of the same, the 2nd half offense was horrible. Playing it safe? Ok, sure.... 6 series of 3 & out, 1 of 4 plays & out, another 2 plays & a pick. Sure, 1 play 2 yards for a touchdown awesome. But once again, 11 penalties, much of them were for delay of game on the offense or holding on the offense, our favorite center.... TOP was great, they took their time running 3 plays..... A work in progress? Ok Max, haven't we said that every year? But I will go along with it, some teams start out slow for the first 3-5 games....

Didn't miss a wide open receiver 30 yards down field by over throwing after the db and safety to that side forgot what coverage they were in? Miss an open Green in the end zone? Over throwing again... He missed, maybe we can blame it on being hurried because he was being battered. But, yes this defense played great, shutting out any team in the NFL is not easy. However, once again the coaching, and offense was horrible.
