  1. Ravens cut Yannick Ngakoue, a pass rusher where they are thin and have had little production, hope to get him back on the practice squad

Is this a roster move to fit White on the 53?

Im not saying he has been a pro bowler, but certainly was working toward it, playing into shape.

They wanted him back but wait until he was a waiver instead of a free agent?

If the Ravens had cut Ngakoue before Tuesday’s trade deadline, he would have been an unrestricted free agent free to sign with any team. But because the Ravens waited until after the trade deadline, he is subject to waivers and has to go to any team that claims him. If multiple teams put in a waiver claim for Ngakoue, the team with the worst record would get him.

  2. Given Lamar's record against Burrow, 7 or 8 and 1, the league has decided to help Joe out....

Over under on the # of defensive penalties called on the Ravens secondary is 6, I'll take the over.

On the Bemgals secondary, it is 3, I'll take the under...

    😀

  3. Well, we can expect a flag fest

Clete Blakeman has the assignment, and this will be the first time he’s seen the Bengals or the Ravens this season.

The Bengals are 8-7 with Blakeman as the referee, and they are 2-1 against Baltimore with him on the call.

Blakeman and his crew lead the NFL in penalties called, averaging 16.3 per game. They also lead the NFL in penalty yards per game at 142.5.

  4. Before the last meeting, Burrow said that he/they had to play perfect to win the game, he darn near did. Since that meeting he has throw 8 tds and 2 picks, for 874 yards. In that game he threw 5 tds, had 1 costly, late pick.

To help the defense, run the snot out of the ball, use the play clock. They will try and take the run away, run blitzes and such. But if the line can hold them off, big runs become easier as there will be little to stop rhe back once he breaks through.

Penalties have to be kept down, last week started great, only 3 in the first half. Make a statement, let the Bengals know that their season is effectively over.

Maybe the asking price was too high?

Yeah, maybe like the Comandos who way over paid for their corner, as good as he is. I understand that there was a bidding war for him, but wow.

Or Dallas who was the only team after Wingo, a 4th?

Still, the Giants, according to reports, wanted a 4th or a low 5th and 6th for Ojulari, who is on the last year of his contract. Seems pretty fair considering what other ends got traded for this past week.

Is he a top sack artist? No, but is he more productive that Owe, Ojaba,Isaac, even Robinson who just had a break out game? Yes.

It was time for Eric to cut the cord on at least 1 of his 3 reaches in the past drafts, Ojaba.

Owe is playing decent, Issac should see more play moving forward as will Robinson. The later showed his strength and power collapsing the pocket often Sunday.

The former has the speed to catch Burrow, Mahomes, Wilson when they break the pocket and scramble.

But this team lacks the sacks, the disciplined rush the collapse from the ends. That alone would help the pass defense.

Even with only 3-5 mil in cap space they could have rented Ojulari for this season.

White, if healthy, with a repaired Achilles and acl (he tore the year before) is mostly a zone corner, not a true man corner. He is slowed by those injuries, and Wric, as he did with 2 defensive ends in the draft, is betting he will turnout, be a diamond in the rough.

As it is they lose nothing if they cut him before seasons end.

But who gets cut so he can have a roster spot? How is he, even if he works out, going to fix the communication issues?

  6. I will add, the Ravens had 11 picks in next year's draft, acquired 2 players, both for depth on either side of the ball.

They still have 11 picks in next year's draft, half of those players picked will not make the team, at the least.

What happens if everyone stays healthy, but the team needs a sack at the end of a playoff game to push a team out of field goal range so that they can't kick the game winning field goal?

By all reports, an edge rusher, where the Ravens lack depth most along the defensive line, would have cost at most 2 low round picks, a 5th and 6th.

Are those 5th or 5th guys going to make a huge difference next year?

I realize that this team faces a number of contracts next year, free agents, and recognize how important draft picks are to building a team without killing a cap.

However, this defense has shown, even against sub par teams that pass rush is the most glaring need. Next to that is depth at defensive tackle, especially with the recent 4 game, at least injury to one of the better defensive tackles this team has.

Eric missed the boat on this trade line, clinging to draft capital at the expense of a true Super Bowl run...

  7. Yawn, the Rams get a 7th in 26, and send a 27 7th plus White who has been the Rams dog house for the past 4 games. Tore his Achilles last year while with the Bills. It is depth, surprised that they didn't land an edge rusher, cough cough, from the Giants..mmm

    Per Espn

  8. Circle the wagons, prepare for the battle, the Bengals are madd and come into Baltimore with vengence in their hearts.

They feel as if a win a few weeks ago between these two teams was snatched away from, that they deserved to win that game.

Oh, they are not alone, the Ravens defense feels that even though they won, that they lost; their identity. They too are angry, is that hamgry, they hunger to prove that they can be a dominant force once again.

The Baltimore offense is still clicking, leading the league in many categories, on a short week, against a familiar foe, can they keep the momentum going?

Short wee games are odd, which team can get their energy level up, can recover from their last game, physically, just a few days earlier, quicker, usually comes out on top. These games may be low scoring or complete shootouts, we just never know until the dust settles.

    So, who ya got?

They treated a rookie qb the way you should.

Yes, the defense did its job, 10 pts, 0-4 on 4th down, 2 or was it 3 goal line stands.

The offense, against a really good defense destroyed them.

7 plays for Denver in the 3rd, 7, 2 possessions for the Ravens, 2 td drives in the 3rd.

The pressure on the pocket was incredible, had Nix not been so mobile they would have sacked far more than what twice?

If the defensive line can pressure like that with only four on Thursday, Burrow is in trouble.

But then it is a Thursday game, who knows which team will be recovered enough to play well. Hate those games

    Ouch.

I was shocked the dude got up on his own and went back in a few plays later. The safety who was ejected got flagged again on his way out for more "unsportsmanlike conduct" for what ever he said to the refs... Green Bay blew the free 30 yards...

  11. Detroit safety nails a Green Bay wide out in the head with the crown of his helmet, launching into the diving wide out. He is flagged 15 yards for the hit

New York NFL radios in tosses him out, as he should have been. Brady and his partner are confused why he was tossed, even saying he should not have been. Really? Are they both that dumb? Did Tommy Boy take one too many hits? Is he that distracted by his 2nd ex wife having a baby with her new boy toy and with Ern Andrews?

  12. Oh boy, wait, oh girl, oh crap what is the correct way to say it, oh they? We needed a game like this after last week, huh?

2 mins, 4th and goal, false start back em up 5

4th and goal from the 10

Confusion on defense again, Ravens take a time out

    Shakes my head icon

Pass complete but tackled at the 1

  13. I know the game is over and the players want to relax, but it is very important from a they always collapse in the 4th, in the last 2 mins of the 4th, to keep this at 10

Nix scrambles right, pumps, throws it away

    3rd and goal

    2:10

Oh he stepped out before releasing the ball

3rd and goal from the 9

Run up the middle for a gain of 4

    2 min warning

  14. Run up the middle for 3

Run up the middle for 1

Looks like Denver wants this game over too

    3rd and 4

Pass high over the middle, Sutland leaps for it, 26 yards

Nix rolls right, slings it short, Washington breaks it up

    2nd and 10

    3:20

Run up the middle, several broken tackle later it is 1st and goal

Run up the middle to the 4

    2nd and goal

    2:23

    Time out Ravens
