By & large the players love him, he has a long leash, sometimes to the detriment of the team it seems: safety play for example. But he never throws a player under the bus. Even Cleveland, who struggled with his personal issues, when many were screaming for him to play, the organization was quiet as to why he wasn't. Sure, another Super Bowl was "expected" the last couple of years, but despite the early exits, it wasn't because of coaching. The players for what ever reason just couldn't hang onto the ball, leading to loses.

It's a nice read in this dead season before the draft

Starks is a ball hawk, a leader of secondaries. He did struggle a bit last season, being out of position that lead to big plays. This, I believe, was due in large part to the inexperience UGA had in the secondary and him trying to cover it up. In this system, he should be a natural, then again, maybe he looked so good the years prior because of the incredible pass rush the Dawgs had...

Who would you pick at 27 if: Malaki Starks, safety UGA, James Pearce, olb Tennessee and Donovan Ezeruaka olb Bc were on the board?

While Decosta has had some very good draft picks since taking over and no gm is perfect (not even Ozzie), he has had several big misses in the draft, especially at edge. With the large contracts certain players command, teams have to augment those cap lulling salaries with draft picks, good draft picks who can help sustain the quality of the team. These young players are vital to helping a team stay in a championship chase and even win one. Jeff Z breaks down Eric's drafts by position. If he misses in this draft it could set the franchise back several years, and may be, spell his doom... https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-eric-decosta-draft-benjamin-morrison-derrick-henry-contract-free-agency

Some so called pundits are saying the Ravens should go after Von Miller. I surely hope not, not even for a team friendly deal. The guy, while also sure fire Hall of Famer, is clearly done. https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/baltimore-ravens-urged-sign-von-miller

Some other changes https://www.raiders.com/news/nfl-owners-approve-proposals-for-2025-season-overtime-rules-dynamic-kickoff

Stewart has the dreaded word, potential, but it stops there. Most sacks in his short career were 1.5. Lots of tackles, was used in a variety of ways, but still, those putrid sack numbers means no way, even for a late 1st round pick.

Pulling a player is still illegal, why they don't call it is frustrating. I'm fine with the tush push.
-
Another rule change, both teams will get the ball in over time regular season games

Touchbacks will be spotted at the 35 yard line https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-changes-kickoff-rule-to-spot-ball-at-35-yard-line-after-touchbacks

There are a few kickers in the draft, i would guess that they will do both; draft one and sign an undrafted. Then if Tucker is sent packing they bring in a vet to compete.
-
Yeah, we dont need any Terrance Cody, Dan Cody, Sergio Kindle busts this draft
-
Hey, I'm not saying take him in the 1st 3 rounds, but 4th? Yeppers.
-
He had no work ethic, no drive, Watson does.

A short clip https://youtu.be/ELrmyMRHHAE

Oh he is no Cody, he works out, works hard, just loves to eat
-
He is no Sam Adams, but is a by all accounts a great kid
-
Put Watson and Faalele in at tackles, see Phili try to run the tush push

3 years, love him, hate him, he wins more, players love him. I know, we rail on some of his gaffe in game and his dog house, but, good move https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/news/baltimore-ravens-sign-john-harbaugh-extension Under Harbaugh's leadership, the Ravens have consistently been one of the better teams in the NFL. He boasts a regular-season record of 172-104, as well as a playoff record of 13-11. In 17 seasons, the Ravens have made the playoffs 12 times, won the AFC North six times, and of course, won Super Bowl XLVII in 2012.

I think they will get a couple of big boys, this draft and even after, is loaded

I like him, would love to have him on the Ravens https://apnews.com/article/florida-pro-day-desmond-watson-2404470ed9c680df0a0ccc0a8db33368

There is a kid from Florida, papa & I talked about him a year or two ago. Massive, 464 pounds as a defensive lineman. I've watched him closely, quick feet for someone so large, played the 2 quite easily as he took up 3 gaps But I was surprised that he was either not that strong or didn't know how to use his strength. It did take 2 men to move him. I'm curious to see where he gets drafted. He did have pretty good stamina

This draft is loaded with big fatties who play the two technique and can crush a pocket. I'm sure they will come away with one.

Not a bad read as we get closer to the draft https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-strongest-position-group-weakest Before we dive into my ranking of the 11 position groups in the 2025 draft, it's important for you to understand the criteria I used. In assessing each position, I identified star-caliber players, future starters and overall depth. Generally speaking, I concentrated on prospects who are most likely to be drafted in Rounds 1 through 5. I weighed star players and future starters twice as heavily as overall depth, and my ranking scale ranged from 10 to 30 points. A score of 20 points or higher for a position group is considered strong. Here is how I stack the position groups in this prospect crop, from strongest to weakest.
