  1. Big stand by the defense, force another punt. (Yes I am a bit delayed)
  2. Good to have the A team covering the game. Had to sit through the D team covering the UGA game yesterday
  3. Can't get caught up in trying to force it to Obj, Lamar really should be getting better at deep passes, dropping it in the bucket instead of over throwing by 10 yards out of bounds
  4. Great 3 & put D,
  5. Let's get ready to RUMBLE! Da Bears gave Sweat a sweet deal, $98 mil, some $70 + mil guarenteed, wow, and they didnt want to pay for Agent 0? A man who clearly makes a defense, a team better? Great middle backers dont grow on trees, but Edge rushers do with the right leadership. The stats may not show it, but neither Clowney nor VanNoy have played this well in a long, long time... Hunt!
  6. Gonna have great weather, but not me
  7. They should audible to the run if Seattle tries the rush 3 drop 8, pound em with 4 yards and a cloud of dust. Best way to take away the pass rush is to male them defend the run, take their legs from them...
  8. Eh, Moses is likely out for the game, Mekari is likely to start. Moses has done a great job this season, especially when tasked with pulling. Mekari is a solid back up so I am not too concerned. The issue is the back up if Mekari gets hurt in the game. The big fella just is not very good at pass blocking.
  9. Too little offense in-between lead to the defense being tired. Also, rushing the passer is tiring, especially when the qb can run around like Dobbs did.. I think as we move forward, we will see more consistency from both squads. What worries me are the special teams. Coverage on kicks and punts, even Tucker is starting to worry me.
  10. Yeah, 2 hours of it was a bit much. People talking over each other drives me nuts. But some good info to sift through, Humphries having a stomach bug last week, Lamar once again having stomach issues in the Cleveland game. Stone was hysterical, calling the Ravens wondering when they or if they really were going to draft him
  11. Yes, we have, maybe they have learned from their past mistakes
  12. I was reading an article on the Commandos & why they traded these two. One reason was they found that their defense was better, statistically, when those two were out for injury....
  13. Hey, I came across this (I'm not a big podcast or YouTube guy so I'm a bit behind) thought you might like this if you watch the YouTube at all. It's pretty funny and informative
  14. If you have ever been to the beach, especially with a tasty treat, those gulls often swoop down and try to steal that food from iur teeth. So how do you stop them, who are they really? They have had one of the proverbial easiest schedules in the league, per Espn. But then so too have our Ravens. However, our Ravens have also faced some of the best defenses in the league. Let's start with their offense, Geno Smith & his company. Smith is completing 67% of his passes, with 9 tds and 6 interceptions, with an average of 7 yards per. His targets? Dk Metcalf, Tyler Locket, Jackson Smith-Njigba with tight end Noah Fant. Kenneth Walker III is their main back, power, speed, shifty-ness.. A good receiver out of the back field. They are averaging 24 pts per game, 35% on 3rd down, 42% on 4th. 107 yards per game on the ground, 4.3 per carry. They will be the most complete offense this defense has faced. After a dismal first few years in the league, Smith has turned into a very good quarterback. Pressure in him will be key, the SeaHawks have given up 14 sacks in 7 games; hunt... Their defense is pretty good, holding opponents to 19 pts per game, 45% on 3rd downs, 234 yards per game passing, 96 yards on the ground per game, and have created 26 sacks. Yes, the Ravens offensive line will be tested once again, but they have been battle tested. There is a cool stat about West Coast teams coming east and playkng at 1 pm, most of them losing a large portion of their games. However, that does not apply to Seattle, who seem to thrive at 1pm games on the East Coast.
  15. A lot goes into it, all of the travel, Cleveland, Pit, Cinci, London, then to Arizona. Man, just thinking about that makes me want to take a nap. But now they have a majority of their games at home, time to shine or fade into obscurity
  16. Haha, that would be funny. The odd part of the trades I think were that of the Bears. Why trade Smith last year, a better player, better leader, then trade for Sweat? Both will cost a pretty penny and it isn't as if they have a real shot at a super bowl with or without Sweat.
  17. Yep, I think the line will be fine. Remember, they have only gotten a few games playing together in this new offense under their collective belts. So I think going forward, if they stay healthy, we should see the running game improve and their consistency in game as well.
  18. With the site down I did a little snooping around the web at various fansites.. my oh my what a melt down by many that ED did not make a trade for one position or another. Many of the opinion that he should be fired & or that this team missed its chance at a super bowl. Really? I looked at Chase Young and Monty Sweat, two most notable that MIGHT, help this league leading defense. I do agree, they have sharpened their teeth against some bad offenses, so subpar quarterbacks. But then, if your teeth are dull, will you have much of a bite when you do play the higher grade offenses? Sweat, a nice player, good punch, an okay swim move, some decent power. 17 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles in 8 games this year, averages 8 sacks per season and has only missed part of 1 season, played in 10 games in 2021... But he does tend to take plays off and he will want big money in the off season. Chase Young, another big name, young edge rusher, 15 combined tackles, 5 sacks (2 against the Giants terrible line). He has not played one full season since coming into the league, playing 15 his rookie year, the year he made a name for him self. Word is he was more about his stats than the game plan, often ignoring his assignments, and doing his own thing to get the tackle, or sack. This is why the Skins wanted him gone. As for Sweat, they just did not want to pay him big money. On the surface a 2nd & or a 3rd for either was a pretty good deal. The Ravens have a way of getting the most out of their players, and with the leadership on defense, either player might have straighten up. But both want big money next year so this would likely only have been a rental. While I think this line as a whole needs depth, there are some injured players slated to return. If they can return to form, especially Bowser, then neither Young nor Sweat would be needed. As for a runningback, the other rumor out there, Henry or the kid from the Raiders, Jacobs, again, money would be the main issue. Both have slightly hefty contracts that ED would have to rework other deals just to fit them in, this year. While both are nice backs, and would augment this offense, I'm not sold on the high asking price, Ten nixed the 2nd round pick, the owner did not want to trade Henry. The Raiders wanted more than a 2n for Jacob's. Frankly, good. They are both power backs, Jacob's slightly faster than Gus. This offense doesn't need that, it needs a true speed back who is naturally shifty. Hill tries to be, he is fast l, but he has to work hard to be shifty, planting hard, which causes him to slip and fall with out being touched. Gus gets all he can out of each run, the line just had to block better, the wide outs and tightends too, that is how you get big runs, by blocking down field. Without that right now, neither back if the trade has gone through would get more right now. Would Henry force defense to play man? Or to drop safeties into the box? Sure to some extent. But so too would Gus, has Gus, when the running game is working as it should. I think it was a good thing the trades didn't go through. This coming draft class has a number of backs who are fast and naturally shifty. With all of the pending free agents already on this team, adding more big name, big money contracts would cause more headaches down the road.
  19. Yes oldno, just click the "contact us" button and Dee will be teleported right to us, get the burger and fries ready ahead of time.
  20. Well the defense woke up, took over the game for 3 &3/4 anyways. Incredible performance dominating the the line, Pierce, Madebeke, Clowney and company. But they almost lost the game, giving up 10 pts in the last 4 or so minutes. I think, being thin at the edge in depth, they just ran out of gas. Not even that marvelous run down the field by the offense to get 7 more could rejuvenate the defense. The offensive line was, well, offensive for most of the game, save for a few short fields, & the opening and closing drives. All in all this game was closer than the score, the special teams were once again an issue. Tucker drinker the post on a 53 yarder, punt coverage was suspect when the Cards did get a chance to return. The short kickoffs were horrible, why give them a shorter field? That is on Harbs. Just kick em to the moon... The onside kick what a blunder, do they not practice that part? But hey, 6-2, could be, should be, 7-1 maybe 8-0, not many teams can say that. Toughest part of the schedule starts, oy
  21. You are the best, taking care of us, giving us a place to talk about the Ravens. Not relying on web servers that push porn and such like some other sites..
  22. I'm a bit delayed, but so far, end of the first, it appears 1) the officials are trying to ensure this game is close 2) the defense stayed in Baltimore, all of these missed tackles.... Great first drive by the Ravens, Lamar was incredible, so too was Bateman, who bailed him out of a likely pick. Great vision, and pass to Andrews to even the score
  23. It is a good read if you have time
  24. If not for the Indi and especially the Pit game, I might agree. But those two games showed this team that they need to be focused. Shoot, they watch other games as well, they saw SanFran law an egg last night to an average at best team, to a qb who was was 2-10 in night games? They saw Dallas get hosed by the cards. Agent 0 and Andrews will keep them grounded and focused
