  1. Crav, no one a giving up on season but the SP future isn't very promising. Wouldn't you agree ?
  2. Ditto on the SP woes. It's a rag tag staff as it is right now. I don't see any big arms in our future which is why I had hoped we would have made a run at David Price. The future of our pitching staff doesn't get one very excited does it ?
  3. Well said Cleetz !
  4. Rough outing for ODay. Gives up lead off walk in 8th, followed by bloop single. Blown game. Tough, tough loss.
  5. Crav, I'm beginning to think you are right. I don't have a good feeling about Perriman. Fwiw, a buddy of mine from the gym (and Giants fan) whose son plays RB at UCF said he was really surprised the Ravens drafted Perriman, esp. so early and wasn't at all surprised about his injury. He watched a lot of UCF games and said, aside from his blazing speed, he wasn't impressed with the guy. Maybe an off hand comment from a no-nothing Giant fan but still gives you pause. Hopefully, he proves a lot of us dead wrong and tears up the league. I'm just not feeling it.
  6. Thanks Cleetz. The diagnosis of "normal" is encouraging. Lets hope its a good healing.
  7. Well we got four - 3 unearned - but good enough for a 4-2 win and sweep of the As. How sweep it is !
  8. Yeah I don't know if the cat can endure the rigors of an NFL season if he can'hack the preseason. Or maybe this is just a fluke. Let's hope so
  9. With our offensive juggernaut and 18 run scored yesterday how many runs do we get against the A's ace Sonny Gray tonight?
  10. I'm not feeling good about this either and almost resigning myself to no Perriman this pre-season. It wouldn't surprise me if we are still talking about this in October/November and man, oh man if we only had speed at the WR position.
  11. Indeed. The bats were humming today at the yard. And the O's are tied for 2nd WC pending outcome of Angels-Royals tonight.
  12. Agreed Cleerz. We've got to have a corps and Davis, Para as well as AJ, Schoop and Machado are a good bunch to build around. Starting pitching' is a tough nut to crack. With no legit #1 guy (possible exception Tilly), we need to find, groom and or sign legit SP. or two.
  13. Ha ha ! Unfortunately, Max, as always, you are probably right. Why is it, after 20 years, this org cannot find success in drafting a WR ? It's like the Holy Grail to the Ravens
  14. Does anyone have a feel for his return; preseason, regular season ?
  15. O's hitting another low tonight; getting shutout in 5th inning by some no name called up for major league debut. The hangover from the no-no in Seattle continues. Geez .....
  16. My hope is the pass rushers and secondary are in synch and play as a cohesive unit. If they do, good things can happen
  17. Agreed. If Schaub has to carry the team in a meaningful game, we are in deep doo-doo. Here's praying that wont happen.
  18. Hmmm. Last time we had a major retirement (Ray Ray), good things happened. Wonder if lightning will strike twice ?
  19. Pollard would be good for depth in secondary, provided he plays by Harbs rules.
  20. That was last year. This year and beyond.
  21. Actually, regardless of how well or poorly Schaub plays this or next year, we should have drafted a guy for Flacco and Co to groom for the future. Even if he were to hold a clipboard for a few years, at least a future arm behind Joe. We've been damn lucky with Joe and one day it's going to bite us in the arses- hopeful not this year.
  22. Tuckers long range accurate field goals may prove critical in several games this year . Dang glad we have him !
  23. Kick butt today ? Check. On to LA
  24. Max, I dunno man but I do like your spirit !
  25. Yep. For some reason, these no name triple A starters seem to kick our butts. Need to get off the Schnide and kick some butt and win the series. Then move on to LA.
