Yep and just a few plays could be the "difference"
-
We'll need him to be "the man" vs Gronk and make a few statements early in the game.
-
I don't know but Bellichek does.
-
He'll probably be on torrey while Revis is bird dogging Smith Sr. Yeah, that may work 1 or 2 times during the game. Still going to need to pound that rock
-
Ah yes , the good old double-edged sword
-
I agree with Reed: weve got to pound the rock, stay with it, and pass when necessary. If Joe starts slinging it around, he'll get into trouble. We need to keep the score low, unleash our OL and running game, and keep Brady on the sideline as much as possible.
-
Yep, Suggs better bring A game plus. Both he and Brady are nearing end of their careers. Who knows if these two will ever meet again. If I'm T Sizzle, I am playing like this is my final shot at Brady.
-
Well, the Steelers win is in the rear view mirror and it's time to prepare for the Pats who by all accounts are the best team in the AFC. I don't know anything about owning Brady, though we roughed him and Gronk up well 2 years ago with the likes of Pollard, Ray and Reed. Brady and the Pats diced up pretty well last year at M&T. It's a different year, and the circumstances and characters are different for both teams. I suspect Brady and Bellicheck sense their window is closing and the Pats will be play with tremendous energy, passion and sense of urgency. I expect a similar effort from our guys and hope we don't lay an egg similar to last year's game at M & T . To win, we will have to play a nearly flawless game in all 3 phases of the game.

But Joe gets an A here- http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/1/2/7484051/joe-flacco-leaves-elite-tip-pittsburgh-restaurant
-
Max, Speaking of Preston, did you see where he gave Flacco a B + for last nights performance? A B+. You gotta be kidding me, right . Didn't he have a record passer rating and perfect rating in the 4th quarter.
-
What an epic win and in the Burgh no less. Harbaugh, Pees and Kubiak drew up awesome game plans and the boys played great. Extremely proud of this team !
-
Unless we ca get a Shannon sharpe a la 2000 or Bolden from a few years ago. Those kind of deals .
-
TE, WR - FA or draft - they'll need to get we done !
-
Keep up the good work. I hope he is 100% and both teams are at full strength. It should be a great hard hitting battle !
-
Money, Correct. We need to acquire a FA or two.
-
Max, enough to free up space and acquire a game changer on offense and defense- something we currently don't have. Then supplement with an effective draft.
-
Good points- her weekly paycheck probably covered their NE castle and moat system. I suspect Brady's paycheck is like a rainy day fund and covers beer and wine. All kidding aside, if nothing else, Brady's example offers the possibility for some serious contract restructuring and free agent acquistions. Imagine, for just 1 minute, how this team might have fared had we snagged a CB like Aqib Talib or Revis this year. Unrealistic ? Maybe, but this team needs to do some serious contract work to posture itself for a FA playmaker, rather than picking up the leftover 2nd or 3rd tier player in August. If this team wants to remain and or compete for relevancy, the FO needs to wake up and smell the Java.
-
Given Brady's recent restructuring of his contract (and freeing up much cap room), I wonder if Joe might follow suit ? I don't suspect he would but what an opportunity to help make this team better, plus help free up $ to acquire some weapons . Just sayin.
-
Seriously. What chance of winning do you give the Ravens?
varaven45 replied to Tornado700's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Agree with Nado and Rob. Regardless of Bell, we have 0 answers for their passing game and Our O line will be worked by LeBeau and his henchmen- Harrison, Timmons and Co. Joe wil be uncomfortable all night and no weapons to throw to. Hopefully, a light will go off in the FO's heads that yes folks we need a playmaking Wr and TE for Joe. I get it. I got it now !!! I suspect we will be in free agent draft discussion mode after midnight Sat night. -
What ever we accomplish in the post season is gravy. I had us winning 7-9 games and no playoffs. With no playmakers and a journeyman RB on offense and an obliterated defense with a makeshift secondary filled with practice squad dudes, this team clearly overachieved. If we make it close on Sunday, I'll be surprised and chalk it up as another overachievement.
-
Yep. Other than QB, their talent is better than any team in the AFCN, if not the entire AFC.
-
It's halftime and things could change but it's looking like the good guys are packing for the Burgh.
-
Crav, not impressed with Freddy Kruger either. Speaking of FO, some interesting personnel decision making In the offseason. But for now we can enjoy the playoffs ? playoffs !
-
Max, you da man. Even with the mega flaws, This team clearly surpassed by prediction of 7-9 wins (max). I can wait for your next prediction against the Bengals or Steelers

Kudos and game balls to: The Browns' Johnny Football for partying all night and getting some of his Teammates, esp Josh Gordon- suspended before game. His absence today was huge. Andy Reid for knocking out the Chargers. Harbs owes you big time - at least a KC rib dinner and a year's golf club membership. KC QB Chase Daniel for leading his team to an improbable win over SD. Sorry for the sarcasm but when you get in the way we did you gotta show some love to the folks who helped us get there.
