http://www.baltimoreravens.com/media_library/Shows/2010/1_Winning_Drive/Episode_7_vs_BUF/2010_1_Winning_Drive_Episode_7_Superbowl_Anniversary.aspx So far this is the only video I can find. I would like it to be more raw. I don't see why the edited it down.
I would say being picked up he had no expectation of advancing. But is we can go back to the old 50-60's NFL rules I am all for it. The rules now suck. That move was very old school.
I know it was not dead. It should have been. A guy who is lifted in the air cannot have and forward momentum. The whistle should have blown about 1 sec before the fumble.
These are many of the reasons I thought they should do a little reloading. JJ while I love him as a player I would have looked to trade for pick(s). Gaither is a waste of space. In March they could have gotten at least a 3-4 pick for him. That player would have been useful going forward. Looking at the longterm prospects and where the youth is I would have started looking at getting younger where possible for a major set of Runs in 2-3 yrs. I just do not see this team being good enough to push through the playoffs. Another yr wasted with solid talent. Had they started to do what the Pats began 2 yrs ago they would be hot on their heals. Now I think they will be going in different direction.
Where is the big thank you Refs thread? People are always bellyaching about when the Refs screw the Ravens so this week should be the big thank you. The Ray force fumble of the TE who was lifted in the air was huge. No need to stop the play for forward progress. Also the Pick that was made incomplete whne the DB landed on Bouldin instead of the ground. You Bouldin traped his other arm so at min it should have been Off Pass Int. So two saves. Gotta thank them.
Interesting. I knew that Taker had issues with Lesner from in the wrestling days. I thought that was over when I saw him in the audience. The problems from WWE are the same issues in MMA. Lesner wants it to be easy for himself. He doesn't get enough training in other martial arts. With his raw ability it is sad to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddVDRJDJsT8
Gaither was going to play headcase from day one. That is why they should have traded him pre draft. At least we would have gotten something for him. Now he will go out and find a new deal with another team because the Ravens are done with him.
Jackson was not simply running. He had to jump up to catch the ball. So he is off his feet. At the colision point where will Jacksons head be? It could be up high or low. In the fraction of a second for Robinson to react he can't figure all the physics behind that. I see it much like Ray Lewis' hit on Chad Johnson last yr. I don't think that was a dirty hit either.
Robinson pulled $50K. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAR_zEvT7dM I don't get this one. Jackson was airborn. Robinson looked like he was in the act of the hit. Also his helmet was below Jacksons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2iGzAJIHX8 He waited and lead with his head into Heaps face mask. Good fine.
Harrison pulled $75K on this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81dS21QTgkQ Good fine. He lead with his head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLXJy3dap3o There was no need to ear hole Cribbs.
With the passrush I thought everyone was with the Suggs signing. I thought we could not live without him. Rex for yrs was hiding passrush and DB problems with bringing the heat from odd directions. This D is about average and nothing more.
