Can someone please explain to Gerastamo that I was addressing everyone but him.

I think it would be more apt to go towards the OL or re-signing Daryl Smith.

This was Suggs' year to step up and justify that contract and I don't think he came through. I think it's time to part ways. People are talking about Ngata and Rice, but Suggs is the only one that actually grants them a big chunk of cap relief. They also have already drafted his "possible" replacements. I don't want the Ravens to renegotiate contracts. That is how Pittsburgh got into trouble.

I don't understand why people continue to try and talk to Gerastamo on this topic. He wants everyone to place 100% of the blame on Flacco as he does. He wants 100% of the blame to be put on a player who took up 6% of the salary cap. The problem is nobody else here is that simple-minded. He is though...and it won't change.

We took Torrey in the 2nd rd. We took Rice in the 2nd rd. We went defense with the first 4 picks last year. We also drafted two DEs with Simon and Lewis-Moore. I would not be surprised at all if we go offense with the first 3 picks this year.

I would be ecstatic if we could get this kid. I have seen him projected in the 2nd rd. right around our pick.

COACH WILBERT MONTGOMERY FIRST SCAPEGOAT

Couldn't agree more with this post. -
I hope you truly are patient, because you will be waiting forever for Gerastamo to post anything constructive. Does the phrase "when hell freezes over" ring a bell???

Since the Ravens won with Dilfer, Super Bowls have been won with the following QBs: Brady *3 Ben *2 Peyton Eli *2 Brees Rodgers Flacco I'm thinking having a franchise QB is sorta important in today's game (and they don't grow on trees).

Yeah. All NFL GMs are morons and you're the smart one.

7 years, 126mil, 54mil guaranteed I hope a couple posters on here are starting to get a grasp of the economics of the game.

Who can unscramble the bolded red letters on each line to come up with Gerastamo's true point.

Elam is young, extremely talented and cocky. I'm not going to bash on a rookie for not showing poise and giving the politically correct answer. I'm sure he's gotten an earful from the vets on the team. He'll learn. As far as this instance is concerned...Megatron is the ultimate professional and we would see his best regardless. Maybe some of his teammates gain extra motivation, but Elam will just need to show up and have a great performance.

5 of the best NFL QBs to ever play the game sit 1-5 in the standings (Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, John Elway, Brett Favre and Tom Brady). That's not a coincidence.

Ravens / Patriots flexed out of Sunday night game.
Money replied to Money's topic in Baltimore Ravens
I think the decision becomes easiest when the NFL can cash in on the Ravens/Patriots becoming the national game of the week AND the Bears/Eagles becoming the primetime game. CBS and the NFL would have taken a bath with the originally scheduled Steelers/Packers as the national game of the week. As I've said before...if FOX had the national game that week, it would have been Bears/Eagles and the Ravens/Pats game would not have been rescheduled. -

Let me put it this way. If FOX had the national game, the Chi/Phi game would be 4:25 and the Bal/NE game would still be the NBC game. The NFL simply didn't want to lose millions by having Pit/GB as the national game. Who would tune into that??? -

Ummm...Chicago is 7-6 and Philly is one game better. Not sure how much the markets play into it when the NFL will get those fans watching no matter when the game is. I feel it's more about everyone else. Forget about the Ravens for a second (even the defending Super Bowl champs usually tend to draw interest the following year). Do you honestly believe the Bears or Eagles draw more national exposure than the Patriots? Do you honestly believe any player on those teams comes anywhere near the marketability of Brady? What about the marketability of Belichick? Is there any team that is even remotely as polarizing as New England? Love them or hate them, people want to tune in and watch them. -

I'm sure there is communication, but the NFL controls matters. Bal/NE is the bigger draw...and easily I might add. These two teams have represented the AFCCG the last two years. They have also played very entertaining games the last several years. NE (and Brady and Belichick) is always a huge draw. The Ravens are the defending champs. There is no way Chi/Phi generates even close to the same interest.
