That is so freakin' awesome!
-
I tend to think Trawick will be back on the practice squad when Asa Jackson is eligible to return.
-
I'll tell you what was a mistake...signing former Raiders. I hope they've learned and corrected that for the future.
-
If the Ravens follow the general principle that it is better to let a player go a year too early than a year too late (and they do) and that ends up working out 80% of the time, how can you call the other 20% a mistake? The Ravens are as consistently good as they are because the front office is consistent in their decision making. They have to say goodbye to great players every year due to the salary cap. They aren't all going to flop with their new teams. Just because players we let go perform well for other teams doesn't make letting them go a mistake. I'm sure the Ravens would love to be able to keep every good player. With the way they draft, they would always have a stacked roster.

You don't need to describe your posting agenda to us. We can all see it.
-
The defense could only stop Pittsburgh from scoring twice and you think they played "pretty damn good"? The defense allowed a horrendous offensive line to physically dominate them and average almost 5 yards a carry. Our own line and RBs could only muster just over 3 yards a carry (which was actually improvement over the rest of the season). You truly do not have an understanding of football of you think the defense played well against the Steelers.
-
The only thing you (as a fan) should be concerned about is has Joe Flacco lived up to his cap number each year. The answer has been and still is a resounding YES.
-
You can make the right decision and not achieve the desired results. Whether or not something is a mistake is purely speculation. We have no idea how this team would be performing with Boldin and without the players we acquired due to his cap savings.
-
The Ravens are 3-4 and despite of that are only 1 game out of the last wildcard spot. They are competing against the likes of the Chargers, Dolphins, Titans, Raiders and Jets. I like their chances.
-
The Ravens follow the same formula when making each and every personnel decision. They attach their value to each player and they don't let anything deter them. It's for this reason, that it was and always will be the right thing. No amount of hindsight will change that.

Flacco's response might go something like:
-
I personally hold Joe accountable for dealing with an inexperienced receiving corps and underachieving backfield. If our OL was performing up to even last year's standards and the offense was performing this bad, I would be laying into Joe. Tom Brady has had to deal with a constantly evolving receiving corp and backfield. The one thing the Patriots make sure of, however, is that he has an outstanding OL in front of him. The expectations for our OL were very high this year. They have failed miserably.
-
You keep posting crap that's not true. I'm simply correcting you. There is no possible way an impartial person can look at this team's first 7 games and come up with Flacco being the team's biggest concern. I personally give Flacco a B- or C+ for his play thus far. I'm not going to sit here and blast him when the OL gets an F and the interior of the DL gets a D for the year.
-
If you need to exaggerate to make a point, it's probably not a point worth making. So endeth the lesson.
-
Again...incorrect. Keep trying though. Matt Ryan just took a giant leap up the quarterback pay scale, striking a five-year, $103.75 million extension with the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday that makes him the NFL's second-highest paid player, a person with knowledge of the deal told USA TODAY Sports. No matter that Ryan hasn't even reached a Super Bowl. His new deal — with a $63 million three-year payout that is the most in league history — contains an average salary of $20.75 million that ranks second to the $22 million average garnered by Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers in April. It leapfrogs the $20.1 million average that Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco received with his six-year, $120.6 million deal in March, at the time the biggest deal in NFL history. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/falcons/2013/07/25/matt-ryan-contract-extension/2587609/

Accuracy of posts is not RastaMax's #1 priority. He doesn't let that get in the way of his agenda.
-
My bad. It didn't realize you thought the OL and interior DL was "everyone else". Sometimes I simply give you too much credit when it comes to football knowledge. BTW...all of us get it. You hate Flacco. Move along now...
-
It's the OL and the interior of the DL that are the problems. When a team loses the battle of the trenches on both sides of the ball, they will struggle to win games. If you want to bash someone who is not playing up to their contract, look no further than Haloti Ngata.
-
There are 46 players that have enough carries to qualify for the YPC rankings. Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce are ranked #'s 45 and 46. You can blame it on the RBs or you can blame it on the OL (and both claims would be correct), but you cannot blame it on Flacco. The Ravens offense scored on 4 of their 7 drives, while averaging only 3.2 ypc (which is actually an improvement). The defense allowed Pittsburgh to score on all but 2 of their drives and allowed them to rush for 4.9 ypc. Somehow you look at all of this and come up with Flacco being the one to blame. It's moronic.
-
You're welcome.
-
Just fix two problems and the rest will take care of itself. 1. OL 2. Interior DL The talent is there.
-
Right now, the Ravens are 1 game out of the last wildcard spot (and that's at 3-4). They are competing against the Chargers, Jets, Titans, Raiders and Dolphins for that spot. I like our chances.
-
Wrong as usual. Matt Ryan is 2-5. Ben is 2-5. Eli is 2-6. The defense played poorly against Pittsburgh. Carry on with your nonsense...
-
Holy rambling bunch of crap. You really shouldn't be calling anyone stupid.
-
He first was reported to get a 6, but that was incorrect. He actually got a 16 (which is the same as Dan Marino btw). The whole reason for the test is to gauge the player's ability to learn a complex NFL playbook.
