  1. I agree tsyl...West coast game, team could be lethargic and have a really slow start that continues throughout the game. The Rams defensive front 4 might be the best in the league. This is most definitely a "must win" game for the Rams if they hope to win a Wild Card spot. But so was last Sunday for the Texans. We saw what happened there. It's very possible for the Ravens to falter here. There are traps in Hollywood. Will they overcome the temptations of the flesh? Then again the did fly to Seattle, a longer flight and same time zone....a more hostile environment...and leave with the win. On paper the teams look basically even, but games are not won on paper. For example: Weddle on Hollywood Brown???? Or trying to catch Lamar??? Or any of the Ravens TE's???? Not happening. If the Ravens avoid the costly turnovers and penalties and make 2-3 big plays then they will come out with a win. If they are a step slower and sluggish, then it could be a long day. This is a hard game to read. It's hard to see Goff being effective against the Ravens secondary. He won't have any targets and his O line stinks. I don't see them putting up many points and I can see the Ravens D getting some turnovers to set the offense up. All things considered, I see a Ravens win. The Ravens have too many play makers and they have this huge "Something Special" intangible going for them.
  2. What do you think team? Nervous?! Not me! The doubters are out there....like long standing Raven hater Pete Prisco... Team Stats Points Per Game 34.1 24.3 Points Allowed Per Game 19.6 19.8 Total Yards 438.4 378.2 Yards Passing 234.6 280.6 Yards Rushing 203.8 97.6 Yards Allowed 349.8 341.8 Pass Yards Allowed 255.5 252.7 Rush Yards Allowed 94.3 89.1
  3. It's something new every day now..........
  4. You have to read this! It's the best article that I have read about Lamar and Harbaugh. So well written by.....well......let's take a peek at this up and coming American success story of a journalist.... Ian O'ConnorESPN Senior Write https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28114846/why-lamar-jackson-john-harbaugh-needed-other-football-needed-together
  5. You can feel it in the "air" around town. We know the feeling because we've felt it before in this city. Unity...excitement....everybody coming together. With all the other bleak news going on, people are grabbing onto this. I don't expect them to run the table yet it's really nice to be 8-2. Real nice. They had their "let down head scratcher" against the Browns. I think they have that game circled as unfinished business.
  6. I haven't been following the Indigenous Persons this year because they are so irrelevant. Yet this can make news too. The stadium was empty last week as the few fans there chanted "Sell the Team!" Today I read this....... So you can get a ticket for $5 but you still have to pay $50 to park. And then this.......... Those fans are in Hell.
  7. This 2019 Ravens team is one Elite, steamrolling train. They are unique in their style of play. All the parts are coming together and while no team is unbeatable on any given Sunday, at this point in the season they sure look unbeatable. They keep getting better week to week and they can win in so many ways. Even more importantly, they are defeating the NFL's best teams and making it look easy. Schedules like this coupled with wins creates championship teams. They will enter the playoffs battle tested and battle hardened. Experienced. Ray Lewis said this once upon a time, "It's a dream, only it's real." Ravens fans are in one of these dream time capsules. What we are seeing....is real.
  8. That's almost as dangerous as having a key board and access to the internet.
  9. What do you think Mike?
  10. Yea. Lamar had all day to throw. Congrats O line. Huge getting Ellis and Peko. You forgot Bynes....so many player high lites. OH...I'm reveling in this. 8-2! And you are so right...it's totally different rolling over the Seahawks, Patriots and now the Texans. All playoff caliber teams. All legit contenders and dangerous in their own right. The Ravens are defeating the best....with ease. Don't wake me up.
  11. I read this game thread. Here's what I saw at the stadium. The Ravens offense starts slow in the first quarter, Lamar hands off but doesn't run. Boykin can't get any separation. Scratch that experiment in getting him touches. Back to the drawing board. There 's 2 in-completes. Brown was well covered. And then spaced in between was an assortment of ineffective runs. Or were they? This Ravens offense builds and builds during the game. As the packages keep rolling out, suddenly a defense becomes overwhelmed by all the different looks and things they are seeing. Assignments start getting confused and missed. By they second half of the second quarter the Texans D was overwhelmed. They were in over their heads. Do they play the run? Spy on Lamar and play close to the line of scrimmage to contain him? Oh shit! He threw one over our heads! We got to stop that. Oh shit! he's running loose! Damn! Hey! Who's this guy Ricard!?! The Tight Ends! Anderws TD! Forgot about them! Come on man! Forgot about Ingram! TD! Those ineffective runs? Very important. The Texans chose to stay home for that. Result: Lamar throws 4TD's thankyouverymuch! ...and then by the 3rd and 4th quarter...Oh shit! Gus Edwards!
  12. I'm flipping out. Never seen anything like this before....and never, as a Ravens fan, have I seen such an exciting team. Today was one highlight reel, play after another. Dozens on them. The fans in the stadium were on fire. Ravens ownership has gone all out to really make the game experience there fabulous. Of course....fielding a winning team helps a little bit. .I must have high fived 40-50 fans and everybody was talking to each other like brothers and sisters. I mean it was one big party. Get your PSL's now because we have fun, competitive football for years to come. Dig this....seated next to me were 4 CFL fans who took the long trip from Saskatchewan to see Lamar and the Ravens. They bought Ravens gear. 8-2!!! Wow!
  13. I know what has me unsettled and nervous about this game. It has taken a week of soul searching, but I was able to do this thanks to Dee. You see...to be a moderator here, Dee and the ER BOD insist on you passing a series of courses in sensitivity training. One of them is 'Connecting with your Inner Child.' So....finally....This morning I was able to connect with my inner child. Inner child has fears! So I ask the little juvenile delinquent, "What has you so worried?" He replied, "There is a lot at stake you moron. The Ravens have an opportunity to open up a lead for the second seed in the AFC. When's the last time you ever felt any breathing room as a Ravens fan!? Ravens go up to 8-2. Texans down to 6-4 or Ravens 7-3 and Texans 7-3. Chance to bury the Browns and Steelers! You're afraid of losing you stupid loser Dumby!" Does your inner child talk to you like that....fucking brat.
  14. Hehee! It is kind of useless isn't it? But it's fun. I don't think it will be as high a scoring game as I see in many predictions. Lamar needs to continue going up on his game after game his growth chart and the Ravens D must stop the run for a win....and stop Watson from running. I like this prediction....
  15. I heard on the radio that they tested a helmet hitting a wood chair and it split the chair. We were not far removed from witnessing a live murder on TV.
  16. He should suffer the same fate as Ray.

  18. Insiders predict: Baltimore Ravens - Favored to win: Baltimore Ravens - Spread: -4 - Odds: -210 - Houston Texans team stats: - Offense: 396.7 yards per game (#4 in the league) --- Passing offense: 253.9 ypg (#12) --- Rushing offense: 142.8 ypg (#4) - Defense: 361.4 yards per game (#19 in the league) --- Passing defense: 277.3 ypg (#29) --- Rushing defense: 84.1 ypg (#3) - Baltimore Ravens team stats: - Offense: 421.7 yards per game (#2 in the league) --- Passing offense: 224.4 ypg (#20) --- Rushing offense: 197.2 ypg (#1) - Defense: 344.1 yards per game (#14 in the league) --- Passing defense: 252.9 ypg (#20) --- Rushing defense: 91.2 ypg (#8) https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/insiders-predict-nfl-week-11-winners/ss-BBWHPeD?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=U508DHP#image=19 Huge Playoff implications for both teams so both should be chomping at the bit. Looking at stats only, I don't see a high scoring game because each team is playing strength vs strength. I think teams are going to do everything they can to keeps the Ravens O off the field so it can't get in rhythm, up and running. Lamar and DeShaun have almost identical stats. Lamar has 1 more rushing TD so that tells you how much of a threat DeShaun is with his feet, but DeShaun has done that on half the rushing attempts. Basically the same QB rating. I see war. This is not the Bengals but for the Ravens to win, Lamar has to play just as sharp as he did. It will not be as easy to march up and down the field. The Texans also have the luxury of coming off a bye week. Plenty of time to heal and prepare. It's Thursday. I'm worried.
  19. I'm just getting to this game. I need to do some research first....
  20. Wow! From USA Today.... Homer that I am, I wouldn't rank the Ravens that high. We can't play the "No Respect" card. Now if they win Sunday????
  21. One can dream.... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001076226/article/recaps-from-the-future-how-the-2019-nfl-playoffs-played-out He got the final score wrong.
  22. Depth and rotation. They must have a run stopper for additional depth. They signed Ellis. He's good against the run.
  23. Nice find Spen. Love reading the views that fans of other teams have. Like this...uhhum!....cough...cough...
