Based on what I'm hearing and reading my main cause for concern right now is the consistent daily pattern of off sides and procedural penalties. Add to this the dropped balls by receivers on Wednesday and Thursday and a recipe for disaster is in the making. Penalties set the defense and offense in holes. They are drive killers. Throw in a turnover or 2 by Lamar and you have a loss. A 6-10 season. This has to completely change by opening day.
  3. Some startling stats.......
  4. They are going to add a new change to the game. An effective change. A lasting change. From now on teams will continue to dink and dunk or copy the Ravens style of offense. It's a developing work in progress. It will evolve as the season goes on. This is going to be so much fun to watch.

If Brown starts practicing today or tomorrow this would be so great. That will give him plenty of time to work with Lamar and this offense. With him and Boykin stretching defenses and with the running game....how can defenses defend? Here's some info on Callahan..........
  10. He probably won't play but will sit on the side line in uniform like last year. For the record, I'm a Joe fan, yet it was time to move on.
  11. I'm hearing the same good reviews on these players. Add Lamar to this list. I hear his mechanics are 100%. He looks like and throws like a pure pocket passer. This is nice and something to get excited about, but I hear 0 about the Ravens pass rush.
  12. Hey! That's in the Ravens playbook. The strategy here is to wear out the defense in one play. Then the next 65 will be easy.
  13. Take that! MoFo!..........

Most terrifying is the fact that the Ravens are down to 1 QB. Tim Williams did not pull up quick enough and RG3 broke his thumb on his helmet. It could have been Lamar. I think we will see Lamar sparingly this pre season. They will probably only have him throwing with instructions to not run. Yes...he will still hand the ball off. I don't expect any pre season wins. McSorely just doesn't cut it. He can't get the ball out past the D line.

The defense is the same way too. Maybe this is part of the reason for so many guys to be jumping off sides. Everybody is baiting everybody.

Today. I'm sure everybody's heard how undisciplined the offense and defense have been with jumping off sides. Too many days of this.

Today was another good day for Lamar........ This is encouraging. Some consistency is developing.
  18. "The Baltimore Sun responded on Saturday to President Donald Trump's comments calling its hometown a "rodent infested mess" where "no human being would want to live" in a scathing editorial titled, "Better to have a few rats than to be one"....In its editorial, which ran in the paper's Sunday print edition, the Sun responded to the president by calling him, "the most dishonest man to ever occupy the Oval Office, the mocker of war heroes, the gleeful grabber of women’s private parts, the serial bankrupter of businesses, the useful idiot of Vladimir Putin and the guy who insisted there are 'good people' among murderous neo-Nazis." The Sun said Trump is "stll not fooling most Americans into believing he’s even slightly competent in his current post. Or that he possesses a scintilla of integrity. "Better to have some vermin living in your neighborhood than to be one."............"He was returning to an old standby of attacking an African American lawmaker from a majority black district on the most emotional and bigoted of arguments," the Sun's editorial board said. "It was only surprising that there wasn’t room for a few classic phrases like 'you people' or 'welfare queens' or 'crime-ridden ghettos' or a suggestion that the congressman 'go back' to where he came from."............https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/07/28/baltimore-sun-editorial-responds-trump-remarks/1851017001/ Here's the full editorial. This is only the 3rd day of practice. The first in pads so take that into consideration. Right now Boykin seems like the new guy developing chemistry with Lamar. He's showing signs of being a play maker. It looks like Boykin, Hurst, Andrews and Scott are emerging as the sure handed receivers. Something good is beginning to develop. I think the WR position, which will basically be all new guys, will benefit from all the other weapons that Lamar has in Ingram, Hurst, Andrews and Snead. Let teams sleep on them. They have size and speed....and....hands. I hear Board was good in coverage and McPhee had a good night.

  22. We've been reading about Trumps attacks on Cummings. Trumps lifetime M O is to smear any opponent with very negative and derogatory accusations. I was very pleased with the Mayors response and the responses of others. Sanders said this a few years back. One man's perception and a limited one.... It's not all true. Certain sections of the city feel like that to me. I have worked in them renovating neighborhoods and some of it is horrifying and absolutely depressing. My thoughts at the time were for the children growing up in this. It depressed the hell out of me. I thought, "People shouldn't be living like this. One day I showed up for work before sunrise. The whole ground was moving. It was rats. Hundreds and hundreds of them. Once the were gone, the ground was covered in broken glass, syringes, wine bottles and trash. Then the little children came out. Then the junkies. As a kid, looking at this how can you have hope? I don't blame the pissed off ones. Let's get to the Truth. Let's get this right. Cummings in my rep and he's been great, visible and easy to access. Here's his district......... Yet generally Baltimore is one beautiful city with many great neighborhoods and attractions.....and great people. Many great people. There is more love than hate. More goodness than evil. Unfortunately we have a sick and twisted President. " Even Baltimore’s own filmmaker John Waters chimed in the discussion, telling ArtNEWS “Give me the rats and roaches of Baltimore any day over the lies and racism of your Washington, Mr Trump. Come on over to that neighborhood and see if you have the nerve to say it in person!”

I'm worried about Thomas too. I saw Lamar throw a TD pass and it went over Thomas's head as he was trailing the receiver into the end zone. And remeber....the only offer from the league before the Ravens jumped in was a one year deal by the Chiefs. So we should be concerned although the Ravens are not. Let's give Earl some breathing space and" the benefit of the doubt."...Then conditioning test is brutal, he passed that and then had to practice.... "What do you think Mike?"
