We did not see the Ravens Culture or the Ravens Way last season. Instead we were dished cold ....
-
Mornhinweg is part of the problem but after reading this he does deserve a little slack.... Really, that is one weak cast of characters. Throw in what happened to the O line and Joe's back and that's how Marty kept his job. Roman, as Assistant HC, now out ranks Marty.

This was my experience this year.... He should have added that we were really let down.

"What do you think Mike?" This is really a great article by Preston. He nails it. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bs-sp-mike-preston-ravens-tone-deaf-0105-story.html

This was Billicks style. Swagger. His teams won 5 playoff games and a Super Bowl and then went into mediocrity Harbaugh's teams have won 10 playoff games and a Super Bowl and now they too are mediocre. i didn't want to see Billick go, but it was the right move. I don't want to see Harbaugh go....and I might be wrong again. This is a decent article with many valid points. I feel frustration and disappointment with this team. It's one more year where they hurt my eyes and brain watching them stumble through game after game. Can't start, can't finish, can't find ways to win against teams with winning records, and they can't play a game with all units performing well for 60 minutes. And yea....they embarrassed the city. They did not show up and that is as bad as you can get. And yet there have been some great games and memorable moments. with Billick at the helm with his way and Harbaugh at the helm with his way. Either way....swagger or no swagger.....there have been more ugly wins with both HC's. 'Play like A Raven' doesn't always mean kicking ass. Most of the time it means 'Win Ugly." And I'll take winning any way that it can consistently happen. And who did Harbaugh chase out that went somewhere else and played well? Not Pollard. Not Reed. Both were liabilities their last year here. Pollard never could cover and Father Time caught up with Ed. Something does have to change. Perhaps a lot. It starts with talent. they have to get that first. Then coaching. Coaches who can game plan, develop strengths and attack weaknesses and make adjustments during the game. Not punt 5 times, kick a field goal and then punt 2 more times. Against the Bengals! With everything on the line. I understand how fans want to get rid of everybody.

Hard to believe but it's true. Here's the logic.... And they might lose Greg Roman who made such a huge difference in the running game and forcedMarty to not throw 50 times a game.

At least the Front Office has one thing going for it next year
vmax replied to Tornado700's topic in Baltimore Ravens
They also have 2 good kickers and a long snapper. yippeee! -
They can't Finish. They can't Start. We haven't seen the bottom yet. That they were able to come back was exciting and amazing...and then your guts get ripped out. Feeling more and more like a Browns fan.

..............And the Ravens have the worst CAP situation in the NFL next year.

Read this and get more depressed... http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/42106/ravens-kick-themselves-over-most-frustrating-finish-in-team-history I see no quick fix. I'm still in shock at what I saw today. What kind of a first half was that? With everything on the line and everything to gain.
-
Pile it on. I deserve it.
-
They end this season like last year. I'm so disappointed and frustrated.
-
wow...Alex Collins.
-
24-10 I don't know how they come back from this. Bills and Titans are handling their business.
-
17-10! CRIS MOORE IS A RAVEN!!! After a miserable 1st half, now comes the second half beat down!
-
Right down the field. No resistance. Spot them 7.

temp to be 20 degrees at gametime with 6 degree wind chill. What's worse is the tarp that covered the field "sweated" and water got underneath it, froze and the grounds crew is shoveling ice off the field. The field is frozen and ice covered.

"Now this would be GREAT!!" It's actually worth watching the Browns. You will see plays that you will never see in any other NFL game. remember the day....

Little blast from the past....

As far as this being Marvins last game and the Bengals wanting to win big for him? Well the Ravens D will be even more motivated....

Just hung my Ravens flag outside. Not being able to go to today's game is killing me but I can't risk being out in this cold for over 4 hours. If the game would have been yesterday then I would have gone. Temps in the upper 20's didn't feel too bad. I kept hanging out on my front porch to see if I could handle it. I guess I'm a healthy scratch but I really believe in this team and want to show my support. They didn't quit when many of us did. That's good, solid team character and chemistry. I was as disappointed and disillusioned as most Ravens fans during the up and down 3-4 start. This is a huge game for many reasons. 1. Obviously the playoff implications. There has been a drought and droughts can continue. A lot of NFL fans can attest to that. 2. This young roster needs playoff experience. They also need the taste because that fuels the hunger to get back to the playoffs. It fuels their work ethic....and it's a huge part of what motivates them. 3. Winning is the best formula to bring the fans back. 4. The Bengals have the Ravens number. They will play hard to be spoilers. Do the Ravens disappoint and prove they are a weak team that needs a lot of changes? They have faltered off and on all season long. I think the Ravens team character and chemistry will win out. 5. Revenge. As a fan, I want another shot at the Jaguars, Steelers....and the Patriots.

He doesn't play against Macklin and Wallace. Interesting start.....
-
He earned that in my opinion. That team, what was left of it didn't quit on him and he got the most out of them. "They ferritted me out early but I should take credit for the great turnaround since I left. Something's Fishee about that but I'm OK."
-
He will not beat the Ravens....
