They have left themselves with few options
vmax replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
It doesn't matter. We're doomed as a species anyway. Read my post "Sooner than You Think." How's that for a shameless, thread hijacking plug?! Here's a few folks who have run out of options too.... -
I know...I know...you're thinking "there goes max...he can't let this climate stuff go." I can't. It's all about awareness...not denial. Denial is going to kill everybody and everything. Take the 30 minutes to read this. It scares me shitless....worrying about my children's future....everybody's future. What I've cut and pasted here is very mild. Read on as the writer describes what will happen to people in gruesome detail.

BTW...i'll say it again. I feel bad for Zach. He's a good guy that gave everything he had.

No way. For example the Saints have been stuck on 7 wins a year since 2014 with Brees. It's been 7 years since Rodgers won a Super Bowl....playing in a weak division. 11 years since Rothslxxssbrrrgrrr won one...well...his team won in spite of him....and the Refs helped out alot. Matt Ryan would be worse than Joe behind our line and receivers. Ryan has always had a ton of talented playmakers around him. They made him. So they carried their teams...Where? Maybe you should go to those boards and question why they keep those high priced QB's. Lose Joe and the Ravens are back to QB's like Boller, Wright and Jeff Blake. The Big Crapshoot. The Ravens had excellent defenses and special teams with those guys and could not capitalize on it. I do not want to get back on that carousel ever again. Ladies and Gentlemen, I rest my case.

Ravens tight end Darren Waller suspended for a year

As an organization, the Ravens are a total fail at identifying these types of players.... Just one more roster drain due to poor judgement. -

I don't agree with a lot of this. -
Yes he does. Even if their information on Orr is that he should not play again and is too much of a risk....they could have got something. and if he's fine then they get him at a good price. now it may get way too costly and they only have around 5.2 mil in CAP space with more needs....and somebody may get injured...so they need the money.

Which screws the Ravens.... http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-628-Zachary-Orr-Exploring-a-Comeback--as-a-Free-Agent/fbfb6797-ac74-4f12-b82a-4e5f289889ff Now...if they want Orr they will have to get into a bidding war. I say use the money on an O lineman.

Exactly! It's a team sport. Every QB needs a good supporting cast to be successful. Now....the high salaries these QB's make hurts their team for sure. Rodgers and Brees haven't won a Super Bowl since their first Super Bowl win. 2 very good QB's but the supporting cast is not there....because, in part, of the CAP.

Who should be the starting center for the Baltimore Ravens
vmax replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
no. That was Burke. Eisenberg's article says Urschel has become bigger, stronger and faster. -
It was nice hearing about Joe's spectacular Super Bowl Playoff run. Only Joe Montana equaled it. He was outstanding.

Urschel. Jenson has to get his head in the game and stop the stupid penalties. He's too dumb and is easily set up to make a stupid mistake. -
Tucker will remain great but Joe has his shot at being the team mvp this year. They will still need the RB but Dixon just might be the guy. They will start having to look for Joe's replacement but he and Harbaugh will be back strong next year. This team is still rebuilding but they are getting close. Next season I see them as serious playoff contenders. The must have Joe and John is they are to be serious contenders.
