Somebody has to do something. Being a receiver on the Ravens roster is the opportunity of a lifetime. There are no set starters...including Perriman.....everything's up for grabs. Any of these players can make a career in the NFL. The door is wide open for them with nobody blocking it.... but they have to step up and seize the day.... now. "Tomorrow" the Ravens will bring in another group of potential receivers and the door closes for this group.

As long as it doesn't rain Schaub interceptions I fine with it.

11th ranked offense. #15 in points....with very little to work with. I'll give him a break although I don't like how he forgot about the run in some games this season. He needs some players and playmakers before he can be properly evaluated.

Brent symbolizes some of the hope for the future that will emerge from this current lot of players. Can Williams, Boyle, Gilmore, Buck, West, Hurst, Urschel, Jernigan, Wagner, Davis, Zadarius Smith take it to the next level? They don't have to be All Pro's although that would be nice....just be good, fundamentally sound and SMART football players.

Good point. I was thinking about that this morning. If the Ravens win the Jacksonville game, they would be in the thick of the wild card hunt. This very same team that burns my eyes and hurts me brain. Most definitely the NFL has achieved what they want. Parity....or so many watered down teams that everybody has a shot. Funnier still is the fact that last night's game was so entertaining because, in essence, it was 2 second team units battling it out. Evenly matched. 19 of the Ravens points came from Special Teams. It won't be funny when Schaub and Co meet up with a good defense. And just look at who the Ravens gave 27 points too. They used to field defenses that would have pitched a shutout last night.

One word of caution on the running game. The Browns have one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL. Let's see how the Ravens RB's keep performing. I advise caution on evaluating anything about the Ravens offense from last nights game. It was against the Browns. It really was 2 preseason, 2nd team units battling it out. That's why it was fun to watch, close and entertaining.

The running game was very good but they still threw it 34 times compared to 24 runs. 4.5 ypc. Trestman needs to get it closer to 50/50 with Schaub at QB. Schaub did throw some really nice passes so there is some hope there. And Jernigan? He's an assassin. He reminded me of how powerful and explosive Sam Adams was. If he hit you with a head of steam, you were done....for a long while.
