Every second that Ed Reed was on the field, he was looking to make a play....to help the team win. It seems too many of these guys now are playing scared, trying not to mess up...just "do their job" to keep their job. The Ravens need thumpers and aggressive ball hawks.

All this patriotic stuff before and during games is just marketing by the NFL and Department of Defense. They're cashing in on our love of country. I know a lot of coaches like Harbaugh....and players, are sincere about their support for our troops. I know we, the fans, are. I also felt that something dark was lingering around this, because corporate America loves to market patriotism to promote their products, companies and brand names. It's not just the NFL.

Who? The fans of that team the Ravens beat in the playoffs?

It will be a friggn'n miracle if Elam turns it around and lives up to expectations.

This is just me...if there is any doubt that I'll be sitting home of a Sunday and won't be able to watch the Ravens then I'm paying whatever I have to pay to avoid the "weeping and gnashing of teeth."

I think 2-4 of these guys make the team this year. That's a lot, but 2-3 could be safeties and CB's. Maybe a LB or pass rusher.

The Ravens offense is a TE offense which was a weakness last season instead of the killer strength it could be. They badly need depth at this position...and blockers. Now they have 2 legit blockers in Gilmore and Boyle. This is a very important element that forces teams to play honest due to the threat to run the ball.

A-...which is excellent. This was a very rare draft where need and BPA came together on their draft board.
