  1. Peyton could do "Mr. Ray's Hairweave!" Here's his first customers....
  2. I'm letting all that go. Gary is the Man now!
  3. Eric Winston has a lot to say about Kubiak in this nice article from the Sun. It has me excited.....
  4. I will never, ever buy Papa Johns pizza.
  5. I don't want him, I think he's shell shocked and needs time to recover from his teams epic implosion, but now that they signed him, I'm going to look for the good. 1. Most of the time, the Ravens have not been able to put together a top 10 offense. He's done that. 2. The Ravens need a for real running game. That has always been his philosophy: to run the ball effectively. 3. That establish's the play action pass and Joe is more than capable of making 3-5 big plays a game when his line blocks and his backs run. 4. His offenses are balanced in production...not just run/pass ratio. 5. If he had Flacco in Houston they might have 2 SB trophy's by now. I'm a die hard Raven fan and I am officially on the Kubiak bandwagon.
  6. I called my kids to make sure that they weren't there. As we know, this worlds gone insane.
  7. We don't need a guy who lost his team. You can bet that he's one mixed up man who has lost his confidence after the epic plunge and humiliation that his team took this past season. He was in charge and could not stop the bleeding. He needs to hang on the "Tree of Woe" for awhile, then do a stint at the Elephant Graveyard in Cleveland, and finally find Allah and then he may be ready for real responsibility.
  8. That's a real crock. Caldwell, Pagano, Petine, Rex, and Hue Jackson are a few that worked under John and then became HC's.
  9. Interesting...nobody mentioned Suggs or Ngata as guys who play like a Raven.
  10. It doesn't add up. He's got a 3.9 GPA from Stanford.
  11. Who plays like a Raven? That's my measuring stick. cleetz summed it up for me when he stated that he had no problem letting a ton of guys go. Truthfully, they will need a few back for depth and special teams....and camp bodies. In addition to Monroe and Pita, I want Daryll Smith, Omar Brown and Jacoby Jones back. Definitely want Arthur Jones, but like everybody said...the price could be outrageous. Losing him is an example of how well the Ravens develop players and then get weaker because of the leagues need for parity. I have this weird feeling the Ravens bring back the most penalized player in the NFL. And thanks for all the CAP work RavenMad....well thought out. and bring in that RB from Towson...West. And Get Guys Who do This!....
  12. I heard Femi on the radio while driving home say that Kirby was his position coach in Arizona and that he was the best coach that he ever played for. He said nobody had him better prepared for a game and he knew what the defenses were going to do. No way do I want Shanahan. This is getting depressing.
  13. Here's the list. Who do we keep? From Eric DeCosta...
  14. Manning is going to be in for a long day. It's the #1 offense against the #1 defense and the answer will be clear as to which you'd rather have. We saw in 2000 what happens. The Seattle D will pressure him and his receivers will have to fight like hell to get open between bone crushing tackles. I'm in total agreement with Preston....it's a good article.... Mike goes on to describe that only Kaperpicks legs kept them in the game. They couldn't run. Outside of Colon, they had 31 yards on 17 carries. All Wilson and his offense has to do is avoid the costly turnover and they will hoist the Lombardi.
  15. Mean Gene! He was the Man. I loved the expression on Erin's face. She just got JACKED UP!!!
  16. Crab is not the guy. Kapperpick isn't either. They thought they could beat Jimmy Smith last year but didn't learn a thing from it. They tried him twice!....shit..they called the same damn play yesterday. They deserve to be home.
  17. This is what that stadium crowd will look like at games 5 years from now....
  18. Good points tsylvester. In 2001 a healthy Searcy would have been the answer but he and Jamal go down in camp...I was there and my first thought was "There goes the season". The injuries continued and Grbac found himself in the same situation as Joe this past year....no running game and an open highway at RT. Billick brought accountability to the organization and structure. He introduced high tech to the players and staff. He cultived attitude, passion and swagger. His greatest contribution was going to the darkside and finding the winning formula for the players that he had in 2000. Then is was the long years of slappie QB's. They are called coach killers today. That killed him as much as anything because the defense was good. I liked Billick but it was time to move on.
  19. "This is the best stadium food I ever ate!"
  20. I don't care what owners or GM's pay coaches because it doesn't count against the cap. Just don't get cheap if you have a good one.
  21. You knew this was comming...
  22. I guess the Ravens won't be chasing down these guys...Monroe at 11 is a shocker.
  23. Yea...get another 6th rounder!
